It's great being able to ignore issues of race and representation. Not everyone has that luxury.

Go ahead and retcon the cantina scene out of star wars because of the offending themes it presents. You will also have to get rid of the Jawas and the Sandpeople as they represent technologically underdeveloped cultures who probably should own Tatooine because it was most certainly taken by conquest. Han Solo used to be an Imperial by some stories, so we need to remove him as well, and lets go ahead and just get rid of Luke and Leia as well because they are related to Darth Vader and have prospered because of the human-centric policies of the Empire.

We also need to remove anything else that could hurt the feelings of someone seeing the movies for the first time through their own lens that we have to conform to or we are bad. Go ahead and get to work on that Stan. I await your awesome version of Star Wars sanitized of every possible offensive concept from some sort of Pan-Societal viewpoint that frankly, I don't even know how you could possibly assemble. Or we could just treat this as something that was written in a different time, and life real life the right way without making it have to translate to fiction.

I think you know exactly what it means, as I wasn't being exactly coy there. But hey. Let's dumb it down a bit: I was employing sarcasm and irony to point out the unwelcoming attitude towards minorities and them sharing their life experiences in this thread.

Yeah I know what you were calling me. The person who chose to inject this off-topic societal stuff wasn't talking about anything other than a mythical game wherein I GM and he or someone who has his views is victimized by the fact that I like Star Wars just fine the way it is. You apparently felt the need to pop in and try to shame me over my viewpoint, glomming on for who knows what reason, maybe just to troll.

Thank you everyone who posted to topic. I learned a lot in this thread about how I can include Alien/Droid characters and try to get more RP horsepower out of those types of characters. The thread is hopelessly derailed, which saddens me as it was going very strong. Thank you again for those who taught me things in this thread.
