If the Scurgg became a large ship it would have to lose barrel roll. After that I think it would be less scary.
Why is the Scurrg small base and scaled down?

When though? Ten Numb was an excellent pilot, but he's an 8. There are shuttle pilots that have that kind of pilot skill dating back to the Lambda. Boba Fett is an 8, and he's not a very accomplished pilot from what we've seen, yet he matches Janson, a legendary pilot.

Double digit HP. On a ‘medium’ base. That’s crap. Sure it’s behind 1 agi but that hp takes time to chew through. Meanwhile ps 9 aces suffer dealing with a FAQing bomber. It’s not an impossible situation but I can see why tourney folks are complaining.
Nerfing probably isn’t the answer. I’m tired of seeing nerfs being herded every wave since the Phantom menace and Fat Han. For every Humpmaster nerf there’s another ship that suffers, such as poor BT Kavil or Rudor with the timing chart madness. Or potentially Deadeye Firesprays. You can’t always ‘fix it in post’, FFG there’s no excuse when you have access to extremely experienced play testers. I know you have to jazz up the EU scummie ships to make them more appealing for sales since you’ve exhausted the most iconic ships 9 waves ago, but it’s making you guys look like amateurs.
When it comes to “pricing” base stats and abilities, the designer simply do not know what they are doing..

Boba Fett gets an Inexplicable Popularity bonus to skill.

Nym can drop bombs even if blocked. Thanks to Genius.
Nym being a large base solves the cheesy scum nym ramming and bombing. But is also opens up complete new cheese in that his ABT/ACC combo goes FAAARRRRRRRRRRR. A large ship at PS10 w/ adv sensors that can boost or barrel with ABT can strike aces that were safe at range 3. A 3 bank with barrel roll and ABT/ACC on a large ship is a whole other problem I dont want to see.

Inexplicable?!

Oh, right. The scene where he momentarily inconvenienced Luke Skywalker, right before a blind man unintentionally sent him sprawling into the desert sphincter.

say what you want about Boba, he was always going after the real target, Luke Skywalker. Even in TESB he doubled back and fired on him. Too bad his aim sucks, must be the helmet.
Oh, wait maybe he intentionally missed Back in cloud city because he was trying to lure Luke to Vader. Hmm.
Nah, probably not.
The ship is so small because FFG decided it should be small, because they wanted to give Scum a K-wing/Punisher equivalent. Done and dusted and moving on, that was that.
I'd always assumed it would be a large ship; if you read its list of stats it really did sound like the kind of thing that could've been an AGI1 Ghost equivalent - 4 attack dice, fantastic upgrade bar (well, it got that anyway didn't it...), reasonable dial and a turret upgrade slot so you could pack TLT or Autoblasters or whatever for the turns you missed out on the arc, and poopin' bombs to keep opponents off your 6. Pleasingly, this would have also given all the sides a 4-attack Large ship, which would have made a nice bit of symmetry, in its own way. But, alas, no.
Either way, Nym should have absolutely been PS7. Keyan Farlander, Maarek Stele, Dash Rendar and Nym are all player protagonists from their relevant videogames.
Every single other pilot on that list is PS 7. I'd long considered it a pretty nice bit of thematics on FFG's part... and consider that a VI Nym at PS 9 would not exactly have hurt the meta, eh?

This is basically how i was building a version for the CCL before it released. 4-die primary arc, large base, turret slot, bomb stuff, etc. Don't remember what PS I had nym at, but I THINK it was 7. I also had an infinite bomblet generator, but unlike the one we got, mine required you to spend a shield to recharge it.

Also in game it has 6 primary Cannons, I'm X-wing mini they dropped a pair to make that 3atk more reasonable I guess?

Read again: I'm talking about boost and barrel roll. You litterally can't do it if you haven't the room for these actions. That's what I'm saying.

Which games are Farlander and Nym from?

Keyan Farlander is from X-Wing.
Nym is from Starfighter (and Jedi Starfighter).

Boba Fett's popularity makes a lot more sense to those old enough to remember the time period between Empire and Jedi. Boba from ESB is an enigma that outfoxed our heroes and succeeded where the entire Empire failed. He was one step ahead of everyone else and wore the coolest armor and flew one of the coolest ships in the Star Wars universe.
The Sarlaac was... problematic but Shiny Boba and Baby Boba from episode 2 were the absolute worst.

I guess he was also in the cartoon which was, sadly, the "best" part of the Star Wars Holiday Special, so at least he has that going for him.
As someone who grew up in the 90's, I mainly found it a bit odd that he showed up in Special Edition ANH for apparently no other reason than just to look cool and remind people that he existed.
I'm not saying he doesn't have some cool aspects; just that I can't get why people go crazy over him as if he's the single coolest thing in the entire series.
In a universe without the prequels, he is still one of the cooler things in Star Wars. Tales of the Bounty Hunters has him wiping out three of the four IG's as well.

Talonbane Cobra, while not exactly a protagonist, was from a video game - Star Wars Galaxies. And he's PS9.
Kyle is a video game protagonist with a lower PS - PS6.
Juno Eclipse is a video game supporting character - and she's PS8.
Emon Azzameen is another video game supporting character - PS6.
Maybe it doesn't matter too much.

That's just the thing, though. Sure, he's fleshed out a bit in the books, but so are a lot of other characters, too (Dengar became my favorite bounty hunter because of that book, if I remember correctly). In the movies, we only have what's on-screen, and to me it just came across as them trying too hard to make him cool by giving him lots of cool stuff rather than letting him actually be cool.
I mean, they give him a unique-looking ship, unique armor, a jetpack, and wrist gadgets, but what does he actually do? He hangs around after the Star Destroyer leaves and follows Han to Bespin. Clever, but hardly Holmesian-level sleuthing.
Admittedly, I tend to be somewhat of a contrarian, and so i could be overreacting to what I perceive to be pressure trying to force me to like him (from the movies themselves, not from the fans), but I just don't find Boba Fett worthy of the acclaim heaped upon him.

Did you ever actually play as Kyle while piloting the ship? I would guess that being the protagonist of a space flight sim vs being a primarily FPS protagonist who uses his ship mainly for travel probably makes a big difference.
(Though, PS6 is still above the standard, nameless pilots who make up the bulk of both sides' forces.
