Diseased Vermin: card of the week article

By Toqtamish, in Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game

Great Unclean One, nice to see another Greater Daemon of Chaos, although I was hoping for it to cause mass corruption.

In response to WyteFang's post in the news article, Corruption is already plenty strong and in my opinion not underpowered at all.

To create a mass corruption card would be too broken. Perhaps more cards that do single target corruption or more Actions that trigger off of corrupted units (ally or enemy).

I agree with the above. How often is corruption of one deffender the difference between buring and not burning a zone? Corruption power is sitting about right at this point. I would not be surprised to see a mass corruption card appear, but not till more counters to it appear.

Maybe as an epic spell at BP 6.

Hovewer I also tought that the Unclean One will hab more survival power... but it is a ok card as is.

I don't know, maybe I've just not tried a full-blown Corruption deck theme yet - or at least not enough to see it really working in action. From my experience up to this point, though, it seems a bit wimpier than it (perhaps) should be.

I like this card though...beefy Unit with cool power and great (though grotesque) art. :D

Agreed. I guess that's why they undid the "Shrine + Pestilence" combo.

Maybe you are right, but they made Shrine to Nurgle the weakest 2 cost/1 loyalty support in the process. I regulary play chaos, and in my last 10 match it's ability only triggered once... and it meant no difference even then. It's very far in power level from Shrine to Taal, City Gates or Keystone Forge.

I hope Chaos gains a new 2 cost support, which power level is closer to other races.

I'm pretty sad for Shrine's errata, but It was expected (at least in my area)...

Anyway, Caos is still a great power in the game and it'll become even better when more Corruption/Power-up stuff we'll be out...

I see it dominating lots of metas here in Italy.

I really like the new card as well. Curious as to what the other Chaos card will be, maybe another support? I could see a new "mutation" card that was powered by corrupting the unit.

I am bummed by the Shrine Nerf as well. In my meta it was not an all powerful combo by any stretch of imagination. Maybe we will get a Chaos Tactic or Unit that somehow inflicts "combat damage" as an action.
