What if we doubled all ship stats.

Expertise would be monstrous.

What if we halved all ship stats? Rounding up?

2x zero agility is still 0 agility. Those ships will suffer.

"My powers have doubled since the last time we met, Count."

"2x0 is still 0."

Not to mention Crits would be completely devastating. Whereas someone might survive a crit, maybe 2...surviving 3 or 4 Crits even with double hull points would be almost impossible

Oh, that's interesting.

Some statlines:

X-Wing: 2/1/2/1

B-Wing, 2/1/2/3

Ghost: 2/0/5/3

TIE Fighter: 1/2/2/0

TIE Phantom: 2/1/1/1 uncloaked, 2/3/1/1 cloaked.

TIE Defender: 2/2/2/2, with access to free evades, or double-attacks

Jumpmaster: 1/1/3/2, or 2/1/3/2 with title.

Lancer: 2/1/4/2

Scurrg: 2/1/3/3

Heavy Scyk 1/2/2/1, but consider that the Flechette/Ion cannon drawback is a lot smaller...

Presumably, secondary weapons would also be halved, so Cruise Missiles would cap out at 3 dice (1, plus 1 per two units of speed), and TLTs would be 2-dice.

///

I think TLT and Cluster Missiles each having two 2-dice attacks would become incredibly strong. Most other Missiles and Torpedoes would suffer greatly, since most would be halved to 2 dice attacks. With a smaller HP pool, a TLT would do a lot more damage, and it'd also make things like Ion or Flechette cannon a lot strong (the dawning of the Scyk?). Ships with all-odd stat-lines have everything round up, which would be really strong. B-Wings, TIE Defenders, and Scurrg really gain on the curve. Classic TIE Fighters and Z-95s take it on the teeth. They'll have a bigger chance of getting 1-shot, and a bigger chance of having their attacks wiff against something like an X-Wing. At least, that's at Range 2.

Fearlessness and Crack Shot become absurdly good, and Accuracy Corrector would need a rework. Evade Tokens also go way up in value.

///

My first-impressions list:

5x Cartel Spacer with Flechette Cannons and Pulsed Ray Shields.

It actually seems surprisingly balanced for such a simple solution.

Clearly there would need some other tweaks, but it seems close.

So double the number of crits needed? Two crits for a card.
