[Mafia] CorSec Training - DAY 3

By GhostofNobodyInParticular, in Star Wars: Armada Off-Topic

@CaribbeanNinja

I cant answer to Mad much, other than to say that I sat for about half an hour with no name typed next to vote before settling on him.

The other name that was going through my head was Mr Tzu himself @TheToad , I didnt like what felt like a lazy vote on Cal before sign off but couldnt really vote there with nothing else to build a case with.

@TheToad you still toying with me like last game?

Geez! I went to bed fully expecting to by waking up sipping Mai That's in observerland. I agree with Ninja that Ebon seems like a weird scum target, and I hate to see a new guy snubbed out so fast, but maybe he was on to something as ImpCap suggests. I will be looking hard at the voters on the Madaghmire train.

I'm looking at Visovics at the moment. He jumped on both lynch train a bit too eagerly.

I thunk that going after the newbie was a smart scum move. It keeps us in the dark for one more day as we can't red so mich out of this move as we could have from the death of a more experienced player.

Or he indeed pointed at teo scums and it scared them.

I gave my reasons for my vote, and I stand by it. I still think that Cals claim, and then back pedaling, was the scummiest thing D1.

Cal talked his way out of it (with a little help from Oni) and then the train switched to Mad... who was lynched for being quiet

Right now both Vis and Norell topping my list... both were on the Cal and Mad trains.

Im also keeping an eye on Cal and Oni... Oni saved Cal and condemned Mad...

I don't believe in coincidences...

That's Hammer!

Cadet @Madaghmire fails his final exam! He was a vanilla townie, and alas for his grades, he had never been a civilian before!

12 Players, 7 to hammer:

  1. @JJs Juggernaut - (1) Ebon
  2. @CaribbeanNinja - JJ
  3. @EbonHawk - (1) Norell , JJ
  4. @Visovics
  5. @Norell - (1) Cal
  6. @ImperialCaptain2017
  7. @Onidsen
  8. @Madaghmire - (7) ovinomanc3r, Imp, Pod, Oni, JJ, Vis, Norell
  9. @TheToad
  10. @ovinomanc3r
  11. @PodRacer
  12. @Caldias - (2) Onidsen , Norell , Visovics , Toad, CNinja

My thoughts:

When lynching some innocent at least one scum (the clever one) keep himself as far as possible from his mates who are lynching the innocent.

I'm sticking to my guns...

Care to explain what happened in the last eleven minutes? You just said Vis and Norell were topping your list and then vote for me?

I'm happy to discuss your reservations about me, but this just seemed like a sudden turn.

For me, Vis and Norell look the most suspicious, myself leaning more toward Vis. Both were on the me train and the Mad train. Norell's reason for hammering is a good one, but it's also one I would hide behind if I was scum.

Before I vote for anyone, though, I'd like to hear from more people, especially since we have plenty of time, and the more time we spend, the more we get to look at. I'm not interested in hasty lynches.

@Caldias right now you, Oni Vis and Norell are all at the top of my list. ( there is no real order of suspicion, it is nebulous) I then decided to place my vote on you as a continuation of my vote yesterday.

I could question Vis and Norell about their vote on Mad but I bet they'll just use the "it was better than a no-vote excuse" so unfortunately that won't get anywhere... but I'll continue to watch their voting record

Fair enough, but personally I feel like we should be focusing on the ones that voted for Mad. My guess is there is definitely a scum in that vote list, probably two, but I doubt there are three. So I believe 2/7 scum players are in the Mad vote and 1/4 scum players outside the vote. So if we did random, we have a slightly better chance of catching scum if we look at the Mad voters, unless I'm wrong and scum got really lucky without having to commit many resources to making it happen, which is possible. Day One it is also hard to get a read, because town and scum have similar interests: getting someone lynched. Scum wants a lynch to thin the herd and town wants a lynch to have something to go from.

Still, I want to make sure everyone gets to have a word before I vote. Kinda hate that Mads didn't get a chance to defend himself.

Side note, I am a bit curious about Ninja, but he's maybe middle of my list, and really just because he tried to get me hanged.

Wrong!

There are just 3 votes out of Mad and one is your!! From your own point of view 1/2 should be a better shot that 2/7.

You make me think about being 2/3 <_<

Ah, my mistake. I didn't notice in the above vote list that JJ was counted twice. So you may be right, maybe looking at the ones outside the Mad train might be better? Would like to hear more input.

Your worst read yet. :)

I cannot see how we do not examine the three that were hopping on both lynch trains: Oni, Norell and Vis.

(Norell was actually on three votes...trying to hit the noob, trying to hit Cal, and then hammered Mads.)

Could be. Toad has your same profile. My guts told me you. My guts and all the thing about Ebon dead being weird. I mean, why? I am able to imagine 7 reasons to kill him.

Who said we don't have to examine them?

I do. I am waiting for them to post here.

Not sure if the vote on Ebon was serious, seemed tongue-in-cheek. That said, it is interesting that Ebon now lies dead.

Thats fair, I rate Cals chances of flipping town at 50/50, but i am concerned he could be protecting a Town role. You want to take that risk on guts alone?

convince me why I should vote for Cal, bearing in mind Im already fairly sure hes confirmed to me hes not vanilla

@PodRacer my reasons for my vote are the same as they were yesterday. It's still not the strongest I just wanted to state my intentions and that vote is in no way set in stone.

Right now we should turn up the heat on Vis Norell and Oni...

Seeing a bunch of "lets kill caldias because he's got the most votes."

I understand the impulse, but I don't think it's a great play.

Part of that is that I now think I was wrong about what was going on there. Which puts Cal squarely back to the "I have no idea" camp.

In the interests of information gathering:

## vote Madaghmire

I'm not hugely suspicious here, but there's enough for d1. And I want to see what all these "Caldias because he's the most viable option" voters do when there is another reasonable target.

This post is very interesting to me... Oni jumps onto the Mad train for "information gathering purposes"

hes casts shade on the band wagoners and in the same action band wagons himself

It stinks if you ask me...

@Onidsen How was Mad suspicious enough for you?

And what have you seen of the reactions you looked for?

I'm dumb. Of course I just realized why Ebonhawk's death makes sense. Duh, we have a Doctor. Go after the noob who is less likely to be protected.

That's the 8th.

For a noob Ebon came out swinging... he was also critical of JJ... killing him was a good scum move because it is throwing us off
