The Warrior Book; Knights of Fate isnt due until 1st qtr 2019 sadly; my hope for that book is two things, more info on duel weilding lightsabers {called Jar'Kai} and Cathar becoming a race

Here's hoping we don't have to wait for another article till Xmas.

Alchemist shouldn't be a lightsaber tree, I'd be sad if they neutered the concept by making it one. Magus would make sense like arbiter, or even prophet, as prophet's have to defend the cause?

Well, we know all of the career skills for the Magus and Prophet, and no Lightsaber, so...

The only one with a skill we don't know is the Alchemist. If any of them is going to be a lightsaber-tree it'll be the Alchemist, but I'm actually thinking none of them will be.

Yes just give Warrior five lightsaber specs please!

Speaking of, I actually had some guesses on spec names!

We know there's going to be a Vapaad spec, so I was thinking maybe it's either the Vapaad Crusader or the Vapaad Avenger. Also, for a Brawl-oriented spec, how about the Champion?

I want a spec to be called the Juggernaut, Warrior is the flip side of Guardian it should at least have one tanky spec.

So Power of Darkness

We were discussing this in our group and one of the opinions was that this is a lightsider power

As the dark side grows in the destiny pool then this represents you fighting against it

Alternate take: it behooves the player to spend as many destiny points as possible, meaning they're taking opportunities for other players to use it. It also gives the GM the tools to turn those destiny points back on the group.

I think it will matter if the effect diminishes or remains static when the GM spends destiny points.

So a Jedi who likes some hard drinking? This is the tree that he badly needs. Because when you get right down to it, alcohol is a low level poison - bam, suddenly you're drinking Wookiees under the table for bar bets.

I like it :D ! I am curious if this'll be the first tree ever to have two ranks in Blooded. There haven't been any before and this one would make sense, but... I'm not sure if two ranks would even be necessary. Worth just the one rank and Improved, you're already able to recover from any poisons and drugs with an Average-difficulty check. What more do you need?

Also, while we only see three talents in the little snippet of the Magus tree, I would like to point out that we know around 40% of the tree just from that small snippet.

From Improved Healing Trance we know that there's at least one rank of Healing Trance in the tree, and probably two (I doubt there are three or more, because that would be infringing too much on the Healer). Additionally, Channel Agony is a ranked talent introduced in this book, so I find it unlikely that there is only a single rank in the tree. Once again, I don't think we'd get three, so 2 Channel Agony.

So we've got:

2 - Healing Trance
1 - Healing Trance, Improved
2 - Channel Agony
1 - Power of Darkness
1 - Force Rating
1 - Dedication/Force Rating

If we assume that there are at least two ranks between Grit and Toughened (2 Grit, 2 Toughened, or one of each), that's half the tree. This assumption is the least supported, because there are plenty of trees with one or no ranks between the two, but most trees have at least one rank of one of them.

Two Conflict talents in a single tree is awesome, the other two look a little meh to me but still it’s only a small part of each.

Transmogrify is a fun word.

Oh man, Snowbund can easily outdrink a wookiee {and shes a Cathar Jedi Grand Master to boot!} Ontop of which she REEKS, thanks to spending two years with the Jawas she lost her sense of smell. Snowbund can easily outstink a Hutt on a bad day. So she will DEFINITIVELY have this in her skill tree somewhere. Right now its listed as "Addiction {Alcohol}" and "Addiction {Deathsticks}"

What is Yoda doing to those poor deer??

The deer are an illusion, to see if you will stand up to people doing wrong, no matter who's doing it. Just as a true Jedi would.

How do I implement all of these blooded talents I spent xp into? GM: Go around challenging everybody to a battle of wits, duh!

Hmm...

Thinking about this some more (as if there's anything else I've been doing!), does anyone else get the feeling that the Alchemist might be the second specialization to include the Intuitive Improvements talent?

It would make sense for the Alchemist to have such a thing.

I know, right? Also, something else I've noticed! The connector line between Transmogrify and the talent above it is rather long. When talents have complex descriptions in trees, the talent box gets bigger and the connector gets shorter. Since this particular line is long, we can deduce that the talent that sits in column 4, row 2 is a rather simple talent. Probably either Grit or Toughened.

He makes that stew from something you know.

So, overthinking things even more... the mixing Alchemist career skill. What if it's not Medicine, but a new Alchemy skill? If it was, it'd make sense that they wouldn't want to reveal it just yet with the first (only?) preview. You save that for the preview about alchemy itself!

Thoughts? I know way back when the book was first announced we were tossing the idea around, but now that the Alchemist mysteriously only has three career skills revealed... I think the chances have increased.

They announced the new skill resistance, why not ? How did they add alchemy in the Genesys Terrinoth book?

You're quite likely right. Though I'm not really a fan of introducing new skills, it does make a certain kind of sense here.
