We've had crafting rules for everything else, I can see this being the next in there. That, or make your own Force power, which can only end in GM tears.
Unlimited Power -- Sourcebook for Mystics

I remember reading that thread!
I really really hope the alchemist is weirder then just add force bonus to things. I want abominations. Or i want a warp force power that allows you to warpflesh and add force powers to things.
I'm hoping it has the rules for crafting force twisted abominations. You vehicle rules for making biological dark side monsters you can ride into combat....

Well that all sounds suitably terrifying. Dark Side sourcebook confirmed!
Is there?
So assuming Mystics gets a conflict talent overall people are assuming it’s going to be alchemy - however could we end up with multiple?
IMHO all 3 of the trees lend themselves to a conflict talent - and considering the mystic background I could easily see us having more than 1 conflict tree
Prophecy of doom
Alchemical corruption
Magus twisting of force
spring to mind
I am curious how the classes will play out. Hopefully alchemist has some lightsaber or crafting talents. It will be interesting to see how it varies from armorer and artisan. I would kill for some reflect talents (dark side points gained)
Maybe sorcerer will have some talents that help with unleash (which I think might be under powered).
I bet prophet has some enhancements or talents that incorporate foresight or this might be where we see the reflect talents. It could be used to show how the force user knows where the attacks will be
hm yeah nice ideas... but another "improve your items"-career would be ok, but "alchemy" in star wars is for me more connected with the weird stuff like turn people into rakghouls, create armor that improves but tortures you, creace weird force-mechanical constructs...
edit: and while other careers do "forecrafting" to improve their gear for their normal profession (like fighting gear for a fighter) i would expect a mystic to do crafting for the craftings purpose... that the outcome is not a way to reach your goal, but is the end of the way

Interesting idea here: what about using the crafting rules for cybernetics to mimic Sith alchemy? All items are automatically immune to ion weapons for obvious reasons, and there would have to be some additional effects and/or implant templates added to make it authentic, but I could see it working. Discipline for the roll instead of mechanics, of course.

One of them, potentially. I could certainly see them adding a helping or two of edginess to the Warrior when that gets a splatbook, even if it's already got a dark side tree with the Aggressor.
Conflict skills are my only "musts" here.
I do hope alchemy doesn't just upgrade items. That'd be sad
A month later and still no Product page ...
Lately, they haven't put up a product page until the release of the first news article.
Really? I'll admit I hadn't actually been paying attention to that! I got a bit... uninspired? There for a while, as all we had was a wait with not much to show for it. Sure, we got new announcements every so often, but nothing ever moved forward after announcement, so the excitement died away.
Now though (assuming things start moving soon * presses thumbs! *), I'm back and seat-hopping antsy again!
I'm more impatient than anything else.
Fingers crossed Miraluka show-up in this book.
I'm pretty sure we've already deduced most, if not all, of the species in this one, and it did not include the Miraluka.
If only. I know a lot of fans see them as an unnecessary gimmicky species, but I would love to have them in the line at some point.

I will admit to being one of those fans.
And to follow up on my previous post, yes, we've narrowed it down to the three species being, most likely, the Thisspiasian*, the Tholothian*, and the Vurk*, with an outside chance for the Sith.
* Please note that I have no idea what these species are about, or even what they look like, they're just the ones that the limited information we have references.

I would much more enjoy the Sith appearance than the Miraluka, however they could appear in either warrior or mystic since they are called Sith Sorcerors and Sith Warriors so there is a chance there.

Very helpful, thank you!
Also, the snake people! That's cool!
Meh....Alawys happy to see new stuff but still largely want stuff from the EU since thats what I play in.
I just want an update. It's such a tease as they release something almost every day and i've not heard anything else! Maybe the new order 66 post will cover it?
I just had a thought for what I'd like in this.
A lethal blows equivalent for force powers that do criticals. Someone get on the devs quick!!!!
