So you pick which of your figures take the damge or which of the opponents figures take damage with this trio of cards (Balancing/Corrupting/Chaotic Force)?

Can the emperor use his Emperor ability on figures in the opponents' list, or is this like Jabba's Ordered Hit where you don't control the other figure?

You choose your opponents figures and he chooses yours. You can use Emperor on opponents figures but it is like Jabba.

You choose 3 figures to take the damage/strain/heal. There is no limitation to friendly or opponent.

I was excited for Force Push being a counter to On the Lam. Had to recheck the RRG. Unless there's an interrupt, those pesky eWeequays can still run away. So sad.

don't think so

From what I read you can't Force Push while in the middle of an (attack) action, where OtL specifically states you perform a move while in the middle of the attack action

I think this came up in another thread, but I don't remember the answer (or the thread). What if you choose an opponent's figure (say, Vader), and Vader only has one legal attack and it's on one of your opponent's figures. He has to make the attack, right? He just gets to control the surges?

@a1bert

Dont trust myself to remember the answer to this one so I'll phone an expert.

For Emperor? Palpatine chooses a figure, and that figure must perform an attack if possible. A figure can only declare attacks against hostile figures. If Vader is adjacent to only friendly figures (and no objects that could be attacked), there are no legal targets and the attack is just ignored. (Palpatine is not controlling the figure during the attack, which would make all figures hostile and none friendly for that attack.)

So, choosing other than your own figures would make sense only with Parting Shot (but why not choose Greedo or Hired Gun directly), or 4-player free-for-all skirmish, forcing the figure to attack another opponent's figure.

Edit 2: Or forcing the chosen figure to lose focused/hidden to protect a higher-VP figure.

Who would get the VP's in a 4-player if Palpatine uses Emperor to make another player's figure attack and it defeats the targeted figure?

The player who defeated the figure - so the player who performed the attack. If you defeat your own (bleeding, Self-Destruct, etc.), you choose an opponent to receive the VP.

Ok I think I see the difference here, but want to make sure...

Lure of the Dark Side and Ferocity allow you to attack your opponent with their own figures because they specifically instruct you to perform an attack with that figure as opposed to Emperor which states that the figure interrupts to perform an attack.

Yes. Also, Murne's False Orders. See the FAQ for details on performing attacks with a controlled figure. (The RRG has almost the correct rules as well.)
