Future Expansions

By Hawkstrike, in Arkham Horror: The Card Game

So my favorite Lovecraft stories are The Shadow over Innsmouth and At the Mountains of Madness .

Think we'll eventually get campaigns based on them?

I would bet money the next two expansion cycles will be fighting cthulu and the deep ones or fighting the cult of the thousand, the black goat, and shub-niggurath.

Every cycle thus far has centered around the great old one agents you could encounter in the last scenario of the core set

Innsmouth/Cthulhu and Shub-niggurath seem like the most likely candidates for the next two big campaigns. And if FFG intends to include every investigator from the AH Files in this game, they've got a massive 53 to choose from, assuming they don't add any more. Meaning we might be getting about 6 more campaigns after Path to Carcosa finishes up.

Personally I'm hoping for something involved At the Mountains of Madness, anything involving the Dreamlands, or maybe something with Nyarlathotep as the big bad.

Probably Innsmouth + Silas Marsh in some fashion.

Not sure when, but both seem to be a lock. Arkham Horror doesn't have a Mountains expansion, but both Eldritch Horror and Elder Sign do.

Look at expansions for those three games - if nothing else, FFG absolutely LOVES to reuse art assets, which pretty much guarantees overlap with expansions for the other games.

Maybe they will come out with a new Core set the after the 4th deluxe expansion finishes.

I’m hoping for an Egyptian theme, like Under the Pyramids and The Shifting Sands.

Also an Asian theme, like Curse of the Jade Emperor, would be cool.

Perhaps FFG could make these into standalone scenarios like Carnevale if not enough material for full campaigns.
