Hello:
Are the dial upgrade kits going to be reprinted? I have my whole collection using them, and it would be terrible of my OCD for newer ships to not have them. Anybody have any thoughts or knowledge on this? Thanks! :-)

You take your other dials apart and put the new cardboard in them.

This is what I do. I only have one set of scum and one set of rebel.
I don't do that. I have a complete set for ALL of my ships. That was also not my question.

Well, we cannot answer your original question, because we are not FFG, just a bunch of players. We have no knowledge of what FFG will do, so we can just assume that it will eventually be reprinted, since it is apparently a successful product. In the meantime, I suggest look around in gaming stores (my FLGS still has them). I also saw them on ebay (50% overpriced).
Edited by UbulThey don't appear to be in the reprint queue, so won't be reprinted any time soon
I would not be surprised if they did not sell well enough for a reprint. I imagine with Rune Wars and now Legion cutting into the plastic injection schedule if things like the dial kits and colored bases were not reprinted.
Amazon and eBay have them if you want to overpay. Depends on how bad you want them, I guess. Demand seems to be greater than supply at this point, driving the price up on a product that is no longer in production.
But....but what about the tinted based and pegs? What about them?!?!? Will we ever see them again ?!?? No more neon orange?! Say it ain’t so!!!!!

Hey! I like those bases. The pegs are intermediate size and fit pretty well in new or old ships. I also like putting my pilot cards in colored sleeves that match the base color rather than use cardboard number dealies.
There's an upcoming section on the main page of FFG dedicated to showing you what's coming next.
As for having a set of dials for every ship... I have over 100 small ships, and almost two dozen large. There's absolutely no way you could convince me to get a premium dial for each ship. I'm more than happy switching out dials between my ships and the two sets per faction.

How am I supposed to get extra evades for my ties if I can't get any green bases?

How am I supposed to Play Tycho if I can't replace all my stress with a red base?

Good idea! I find faffing about with the ID numbers annoying at hangar bay events, this is much easier.
You can make your own tinted bases easy enough. I believe the most common thing is literally just using a sharpie on the underside of the base. Or of course you could just light them up :). I know this doesn't solve the dial upgrade question, but since there were concerns about the colored bases as well, I figured I'd throw out those ideas.
The maneuver dial upgrade kit is OP anyway. Everyone who beat me at Nationals were running them. Just another case of pay to win.

Yep. They're the choice of cheaters worldwide.
Do the recent waves still contain silhouettes to put into them?

G4H has them...
I don't know how anyone can say they didn't sell well enough. Our FLGS couldn't keep them in stock (especially the imperial covers). They'd literally sell out before they hit shelves. I'd like more as well, I don't like to keep swapping dials in and out of covers if I don't have to.
I`` would also like more, only for the simple fact that I paint them to match my squads.

The old "they sold out everywhere and people are trying to find more" therefore the must not have sold well argument.
As for "injection" i sure hope they expanded production with the new games would be absolutely shocked if they just told the Chinese fabricator to "switch molds out to this product for a while and forget the rest"
Maybe someone could get the specs detailed up and you could just 3D print them?
The dial upgrades are also a favorite of painters/modders like myself, because nothing says awesome like a matched dial to a ship! I think I picked up the last ones in my whole area. Crazy prices on eBay for these things!
It would be much better to redesign them due to the ease of cheating thing =/
As for dial covers for whole squadrons, I'd recommend the acrylic ones that let you see the whole dial and uses the regular peg and back cardboard. Not quite as neat as the dial covers, but still neat and a welcome addition.

Well, I'm no economist, but a lot more goes into such a decision than "hey this stuff sold out, let's reprint!" The pace at which something sells out, estimates and projections about the demand for additional product, the profit margins, the projected expected profits of a reprint versus using the injection mold and packaging labor as well as shipping space for other products that may sell better or with higher margin, etc. ...
Think of it this way. If someone makes 12-packs of soda, and sells them for a $1 each and they cost $6 total to produce, they make a $6 profit for every 12-pack sold. Now, even if they sell out, it's not in their interest to produce
another
12-Pack unless they know they will sell at least 7 of them. Because if they make another pack and only sell two cans, they're stitting at a loss of $4. Even if they sell six cans, it's a wash and they've taken on unnecessary risks. So in these sorts of situations, even if they're sold out and four people are clamoring "please make more so we can buy it!" that doesn't mean it's in the business' interest to do so.
Now, replace 12-Packs with your favorite blistered plastic FFG product, and assume whatever the smallest amount of items that can be produced during a printing run, and compare to that to expected demand and expected return vs other products that could also be produced using the production, packaging, and distribution resources.
