Unfortunately, it won't let me add a stronghold, and the deck is invalid without one. Copy-pasting doesn't work, and the Dragon stronghold isn't even in their manual list (maybe none of the strongholds are).
What are typing in (exact text, please)? I just made a Dragon deck by copying from fiveringsbd and didn't have a problem.
I finally got it to work, but for many people, including myself, the main issues are that it refuses to acknowledge you have a stronghold in the copy-pasted list from fiveringsdb, and certain other cards won't be added, either (such as Daimyo's Favor). They're right there in the copy-pasted list, but you have to add them manually, which sometimes works and sometimes doesn't.
Now that I finally have a saved deck, I'm trying to learn how to actually use the site's controls to play a game. I couldn't get it to let me use Agasha Swordsmith, for instance. Actually, I couldn't get it to let me look at cards from the top of my Conflict deck at all, or draw any cards outside of the normal Draw step after bidding.
I suspect these issues are related to 'manual mode' not always sticking.

The client isn't worth using right now in any case. The interface makes all the cards look like garbage and it's needlessly cramped.

Have you read some of the things argued about on this forum? 
Besides, in his notes he mentioned he is working on background selection. You can actually change it once he is done.

The developers are entitled to their fandom.
If this is the sort of thing that will actually turn you off from using their platform, I would encourage you to reconsider. They are putting a ton of work and love into this project, I am not going to fault them for putting their own personal mark on it via url and skin.

Agreed. They've done a ton of work in just the week and a half or so it's been in beta alone. If you think it's bad now ...

Did people have a problem with Jinteki.net? Someone enlighten me. It's called "jinteki.net". That's apparently divisive.
Does it matter to Jinteki.net players anymore? Probably not.

Who would have a problem with Jinteki.net? I guess of the corp factions it's the most frustrating to play against as a new player, but unlike the shadowlands/spider, it didn't drive large sections of the playerbase to quit out of disgust.

No one quit because Shadowlands was added three years into the 20 year old ccg's run. And none of that matters now that FFG rebooted the setting, Fu-Leng and the shadowlands are still in the setting, still a vital aspect of the game's lore and history. If the designer decided to theme the name of his program after the fun neutral villains of the setting the only people that choose to make it a problem are just looking for something to fight over or complain about.
It would be like the GoT online client being called WhiteWalker and people complaining that the WhiteWalkers are divisive... at least curved swords actually was funny to read about.
What a gross misrepresentation. The Shadowlands has never been neutral, and people have always had a problem with its presence as a playable faction. By nature of AEG's tournament story rewards, the shadowlands could win story prizes, often in the form of ruining something of the clans. Of course this all got out of hand when the Spider was forced into the game and shown blatant favoritism by AEG, which did indeed directly cause a bleed of players from every other faction until Spider was the most popular, which further compounded the inherent problems with the faction and how it interacts with the setting.
Thank you TheItsyBitsySpider for the explanation. I go back to 90's L5R so yea, it is not like the Shadowlands are any kind of new faction. Even though I do not personally care for the fluff of the Spider "Clan" involved in court politics, L5R would lose a significant layer of story if the Shadowlands were not playable in some form. FFG has chosen to introduce Shadowlands later, which is a good choice, building the dramatic effect of their entrance into the environment.

I played the CCG for almost the entire duration of its existence. The only complaints I ever heard about Shadowlands as a playable faction centered around their interactions with the dishonor victory condition. I have never heard of anyone having a problem with their existence influencing the story. This is news to me. Can you site any examples?
The Spider Clan was very divisive and, frankly, kind of dumb. The Shadowlands as a playable faction were fine.
