Rae Sloane's Pre-Endor Fleet vs Ackbar Broadside Fleet

Working on two casual builds for when I have someone over and want to play Armada, and this is what I came up with. My Imp fleet was originally designed with Motti in mind but I love Sloane so much, and they're the same cost, that I switched them out. Also dropped Rhymer to add in two more Tie squadrons. To counter the massive amount of firepower from three Star Destroyers, I went with more rebel capitals in exchange for less fighters. I mean, Luke DID solo the Death Star, so he should be fine...right?

Would you say that these are meant to be casual/easy to play? as opposed to optimized efficiency?

Imps, I would get x17s or Quad Battery Turrets or Spinal Turrets or heck Leading Shots over Enhanced.

I'd also take Avenger and Skilled First Officer over Relentless. It combos with Overload pulse for funnies. Just Drop Isard. (Consider adding Boarding Troopers)

MC80 wants Electronic Countermeasures (and Engine Techs). After that, you can consider xi7s again. (Drop slaved turrets.)

AFmk2 wants Advanced Projectors (and Gunnery Team), dropping the Title and xx-9.

You'd rather have 2 Cr90-As with TRC over the Neb and Cr-B.

Keeps things simple. There's some combo fun for Imperials. And Rebels get broadside tech and defensive tech, which helps keep things alive, and simplifies play.

I agree with Blail regarding the changes to the Rebel fleet. As it stands now, the rebels are still sorely outgunned and have a lot of points in fragile packages. A CR90b would be laughably ineffective against that imperial list.

Also rebel squadrons, id try to take 4, not 3. It helps with deployments, and you need more.

You need some AA squadrons too:

2 Awings.
