Suggestions for Ghost Build other than Stresshog

Howdy, suggestions please? This is what I normally play, it's a beast, it's not great, but it's funny and it works pretty well. What else for between 22-26 points could I play that would be a fun substitute and effective at drawing fire and f____ing with other ships like the Stresshog? I've conisdered Sabine's Tie with the EMP, but open to any suggestions.

I assume the Zeb shuttle is normally docked? If not, I'd say Jess Pava is worth a shot. If so, yeah...this Ahsoka can be a lot of fun...

Great suggestion, I don't own Rey. Captain Rex or Jyn Erso might also be helpul, you think? Any other crew suggestions?

Hah, my initial reaction would be Sabine with a bomb and Scavenger Crane, but you already have her on the Ghost! If you're open to other options on the Ghost, it might be a fun idea!

Hah! That is very funny. I could put Sabine on the TIE and give the Ghost torps. Thanks for the suggestion.

You had Sabine on the ghost, otherwise I had a similar ghost build with Sabine in a TIE (since you have intel agent, crazy blocking!) with Intensity - also ridiculous fun. I put Rey crew in the Sabine TIE and it was 20 points of silly overload. You could easily add a shield or stealth device too!

Competitively speaking, the best Rebel option for 26 points is definitely Biggs with Integrated Astromech and any 1-point droid.

But since it seems like you're looking for a fun game rather than a boring meta decision, I'd suggest another Rebels thing to keep it thematic! Might I suggest two of the basic A-Wings with Chardaan Refit? You'd have to drop Engine Upgrade from the Ghost though...

Yeah thanks I started with 2x Awings, and it taught me how to block, but beyond that I found them lacking. Awings got killed pretty quickly and couldn't deal damage because high agility is common in my local meta.

I'm going to rock Ahsoka in the TIE with the EMP and Jyn Erso. It allows her to buff the Ghost if she's not attacking. We'll see how it goes.

Some options that might be fun:

  • Lieutenant Blount + Deadeye + Advanced Homing Missiles (21)
  • Kashyyyk Defender + Wookiee Commandos (25)
  • Gray Squadron Pilot + R2 Astromech + Ion Cannon Turret (26)
  • Braylen Stramm + R2-D6 + A score to settle + Alliance Overhaul (26)
  • Wookiee Liberator + Adaptability (or A score to settle or Trick Shot) (26)

Personally, I like flying Blount or Braylen as they both draw attention larger than their point cost would indicate. :)

I know that you're asking about a 3rd ship (I love Ahsoka with Rey so much!), but I'm not sure on the Ghost. I've flown Accuracy Corrector/TLT Hera and loved it, but haven't tried the Autoblaster. It seems like it calls for a much more aggressive strategy for getting in their faces, while Sabine/Bombs kind of force your opponents to want to get away from you. Navigator on Hera is also amazing. Any green can become any straight or bank. Any red hard turn can become any other turn (even the white ones) or a K-turn. It really amplifies Hera's pilot ability.

The other issue with Hera, at least that I've found lately, is that she often moves first in our high PS meta. If she's moving first, any points spent on her pilot ability and cards like Navigator to help her movement tricks are kind of wasted. I'm keen to try a version which uses more defensive crew instead: Lothal Rebel [TLT, AccC, Chewbacca, C-3PO, Engine Upgrade, Title (55 pts)], Zeb attack shuttle [ABT, Chopper, title (18 pts)], Ahsoka [VI, Rey, EMP, Captured Tie, Title (24 pts)]. Ahsoka can still toss actions to the Ghost for start-of-combat Boosts, so it'll still have fairly tricky movement.

If you're committed to an Autoblaster Ghost, perhaps Chopper pilot for the VCX. that stress can go a long way. Zeb crew is also great, but it'd mean upgrading to an Ezra shuttle. However, that still probably should free up around 3 points, so you could perhaps put a bomb on your Y-Wing. It's not changing away from the Stresshog, but if the Stresshog has a Sabine-powered Thermal Detonator, your opponent will be less likely to try to get behind it.
