"Draw cards equal to the value showing on an equipment or weapon die. You may remove that die." That means I can choose an opponent's die to be the target of the special, no?

I want to say yes, as it's a die removal effect. Kind of like playing "Use The Force" to alter an opponent's die.
Yes. Why would you get rid of your own die? In general if a card effect doesn't specify a specific die it can be any die in play. You could select your own die and then leave it in play since the card says "may". But most often you will select an opponents die for the removal effect.
This card is worded like force throw, and it works with all dice, yours or opponent.

There are no limits to targeted effects unless they are specifically mentioned. Your die. Your opponent's die. Spot limits (can only spot your own things). Otherwise, if it's in play, it can be a legal target of the effect.
You can do this to either your own die of your opponent's. If you use your own die you don't need to remove it as it says "You may remove that die." Say my opponent had a die with 2 melee damage showing. I would get to draw two cards and remove that die. Sometimes though you might not want to remove your opponent's die if you have the special of Psychometry showing as well as a Force Throw special showing. You would draw 2 cards in that situation and then use Force Throw to remove that die and do two damage to an opponent's character.
