STAR WARS ARMADA: THE CORELLIAN CONFLICT (A History)

By rjl51869, in Star Wars: Armada Battle Reports

Interlude 2:

[ Retrieval , Adar Tallon’s Quarters. A hologram appears on his desk in the form of a man wearing a white uniform. The outfit is fitted with insignia and ribbons all over it. A small shield with six pips is on the right upper side of the jacket.]

Adar Tallon: “Good evening, Grand Admiral Joseph. This is Tallon.”

Grand Admiral Joseph: “Good to see that you made it out of Centerpoint alive, Adar. I heard about the corvette Pretension . They never got a chance.”

Tallon: “There were too many mines in the area where we fought the Imperials. The Pretension went right into the minefield and they couldn’t maneuver very well in there. It was a terrible loss, sir. I know that we are still getting reinforcements for the Corellian campaign, but every ship in our fleet is precious. Just losing one really hurts. The Empire has access to more resources than we do and they can replenish their ships more easily than we can.”

Joseph: “That is very true, Adar. Did the Empire suffer any damage in that skirmish?”

Tallon: “I think that the Victory-class ship took some light damage, but that was all. We did shoot down a TIE squadron as well. Really not much was done to the Empire, sir. What’s worse, they have Centerpoint. The first system captured inside the Corellian system.”

Joseph: “This campaign, Adar, has a very long way to go. It really hasn’t even started yet. These small skirmishes are little victories and little defeats. But don’t get me wrong, my friend, I feel the loss of every ship under my command.”

Tallon: “I know you do, sir. Your reputation is impeccable. It’s an honor to serve under your command.”

Joseph: “No, Mr. Tallon, the honor is mine. To serve with great people such as Leia Organa, Antillies, Dodonna, Ackbar, and many others, has been a privilege. I know that Mon Mothma has confidence in all of us to protect the Corellian sector from the Empire. It is our duty, and we will succeed.”

Tallon: “We have been fighting the Empire for several weeks now, Grand Admiral. Do we know who’s in command of the Imperial Forces yet?”

Joseph: “I have my suspicions, but I have no concrete evidence to make an educated answer to your question, Adar. Rest assured, I will let everyone know when I know. In the meantime, I have some good news for you. We have received fighter squadron reinforcements from the outer rim territories.”

Tallon: “That’s excellent. Now we will have Y-wings, A-wings, and B-wings.”

Joseph: “Yes, but we also know that the Empire is also getting new fighters as well. So be prepared to face off against other TIE squadrons, such as advanced fighters, interceptors among others. We have more squadron reinforcements coming as well, but they won’t be here for some time yet.”

Tallon: “So Grand Admiral, what’s our next move?”

Joseph: “When you return to the Main Fleet, I will go over it with you and the other commanders. Until then Adar, finish repairing your battle damage and get back here as soon as possible.”

Tallon: “Yes, sir. Adar Tallon out.”

[The hologram disappears. Tallon activates his comm link.]

Tallon: “Hogry, this is Tallon.”

Hogry: “Yes, sir?”

Tallon: “Get those repairs finished and get us and the Acquittal back to the Main Fleet as soon as you can.”

Hogry: “No trouble, Commander. We are almost done.”

[Somewhere in a very large room, on-board another very large ship, a man walks over to a mirror and looks at himself. He doesn’t smile, but he closes his eyes.]

Grand Admiral Joseph: “I am one with the Force…and the Force is with me.”

Next Time:

Battle 7: Talfaglio

What is next?

Battle 7: Talfaglio

[Space. Asteroid Field. Three TIE Fighter squadrons and Howlrunner’s TIE fighter squadron are flying in and out of the asteroids. They are making very quick maneuvers as they continue practicing for the upcoming battle.]

[Howlrunner’s TIE]

Howlrunner: “All fighters, stay in formation. It is satisfactory that you train with vigor here in these asteroids, but there are to be no mistakes. The Rebels will soon be here and I want to destroy every last one of them.”

COMM: “Yes, ma’am. We are ready to dispatch the Rebel scum from the Talfaglio sector.”

Howlrunner: “Excellent.”

[Space. Two Imperial ships appear from inside the asteroid field simultaneously. The Victory I-class Star Destroyer Bruiser and the Victory II-class Star Destroyer Warlord , freshly repaired from its last battle a little while ago.]

[ Warlord , bridge]

Bridge LT: “All TIE Fighter squadrons are forming up into their battle lines, Captain Bleak. Howlrunner has sent a signal stating that she is awaiting further orders.”

Captain Bleak: “Very well. The system of Talfaglio will be a perfect place for me to get revenge on the accursed Alliance for putting the Warlord out of action. For the glory of the Emperor, we will not fail this time.”

Bridge LT: “Message from the Bruiser . Ready for battle says Captain Orlock.”

Bleak: “Tell Orlock that I want the Bruiser to take point in this battle. He will do the main damage and I will finish them off.”

LT: “Yes, sir.”

[Space. Asteroid Field. A group of Rebel ships have arrived to defend themselves and this sector. The CR90 Corvette A Social , the CR90 Corvette B Public and the Assault Frigate Mark II B Crackerjack . Three squadrons are also with them. An X-wing squadron, a Y-wing Squadron and Tycho Celchu’s A-wing squadron.]

[Celchu’s A-wing]

Celchu: “Yes! It’s about time my A-wings get into the fight for the Corellian sector. I was almost beginning to think that they would never ask us to get here.”

COMM: “Calm yourself, Tycho, this isn’t some walk in the park, you know. Grand Admiral Joseph is counting on us to hold Talfaglio as long as possible.”

Celchu: “I know, Captain Gold, I know. It’s just that I have been waiting to give the Empire a beat down for a long while.”

Captain Gold: “Well, you are going to get your chance. There are four squadrons of TIE fighters and according to our data, Howlrunner’s squad is included in the enemy roster.”

Celchu: “Howlrunner? That Imperial *****?”

Gold: “Yes, Tycho, that Imperial *****. Please give her something to remember us by.”

Celchu: “Ha ha ha! I was hoping you’d ask that.”

[ Crackerjack , bridge]

Commander Sether: “Captain Gold, all systems are primed and ready. Two Victory-class Star Destroyers, the Bruiser and the Warlord . That’s what the ID computer has classified.”

Gold: “The Warlord ? I thought we toasted that bastard the last time we met. The Empire is getting quicker at repairing their ships. This time, let’s make sure that they cannot repair her. Order the two corvettes to straddle us and stay within defense range. Two Victorys are still very tough to beat.”

Sether: “Orders acknowledged, Captain.”

[ Warlord , bridge]

Bleak: “Tell me Lieutenant, is that the same assault frigate we faced the last time?”

LT: “Yes Captain, it is the Crackerjack .”

Bleak: “Very well. Let’s tear that ship apart. Imperial forces, attack!”

H9 Turbolasers (8)

CR90 Corvette B Public (39)

X-wing Squadron (13)

Y-wing Squadron (10)

Tycho Celchu (16)

Objective: MOST WANTED (Warlord and Crackerjack)

Round 1:

No attacks.

The Imperial ships launch squadrons as they Move the TIE fighters into position.

Both VSD have two squadrons close to them with Howlrunner staying with the Warlord .

The Crackerjack moves closest to the Bruiser , while the two corvettes close in on the Warlord .

The Rebel squadrons, led by Tycho Celchu approach the TIEs, preparing to engage them.

Round 2:

Not much in the way of attacks, however, the Bruiser takes a couple of long range shots at the Crackerjack . The shots are braced and evaded.

The Rebel ships close in even further. The squadrons stay within distance and two TIEs make a bombing run on the assault frigate, doing no harm.

The Public and the Social want to take on the Warlord head on. Maybe not the smartest to do, but two corvettes should get some nice hits on a VSD at close range.

Squadrons advance on each other. Both sides playing a short chess match with each other.

Round 3:

The Warlord makes it attacks on the Social . Gives it a good shield pounding, but nothing more as the Social evades and redirects.

The Crackerjack fires on the Bruiser , but fails to do anything.

The Bruiser however, gets a full frontal alpha strike on the assault frigate. But thanks to some good bracing and re-directing, the Crackerjack is ok. However, both the VSD and the AF smack into each other and crunch each other’s hull a bit.

The Public makes a nice hit on the Warlord which drains its shields all over the ship. Both corvettes are now right behind the Victory-II which has no shields on its rear.

The squadrons now take center stage.

Howlrunner and a supporting TIE fighter attack Tycho, but he scatters and braces, only losing a couple of A-wings in the process. He fires back, but scores no hits.

Two TIE fighters attack the Crackerjack , killing its right shield.

The Y-wings approach the Bruiser , while the X-wings destroy a TIE Squadron. REBELS SCORE 8 POINTS!

Round 4:

The Warlord attacks the Crackerjack , taking out shields but scoring nothing inside. It also neutralizes the Social’s rear shield.

The Crackerjack shoots out the sides and hits the Warlord twice. It takes serious critical and internal damage. Not wanting to risk destruction, the Warlord hyperdrives out of the system. REBELS SCORE 178 POINTS! (most wanted ship)

The Bruiser now gets its shot on the assault frigate. The Crackerjack has nowhere to go as it takes a strong frontal attack. It also hypers out of the system. IMPERIALS SCORE 152 POINTS!

The Bruiser , suddenly turns and warps out as well. The Rebels hold and capture Talfaglio.

Bleak: “How much damage did we take this time, Lieutenant?”

LT: “Quite a bit, sir. We might be in the repair dock for a couple weeks.”

Bleak: “Very well. At least we pretty much wrecked that accursed rebel ship, the Crackerjack . However, we lost the Talfaglio system to the Alliance. Grand Admiral Trebor might not appreciate a second failure from my ship.”

LT: “We are getting a signal from the Armada, Captain Bleak. It says return immediately.”

Bleak: “Acknowledge the signal and set course for the Armada.”

LT: “Yes, sir.”

[Hyperspace, Crackerjack , bridge.]

Gold: “Is there no hope of repair her at one of the space docks?”

Sether: “No, sir. The Crackerjack is barely holding itself together. This ship will be probably scrapped when we get back to the Grand Fleet.”

Gold: “She did a great job, commander. She will be sorely missed.”

[Celchu’s A-wing]

Celchu: “This was my best shot at blowing that ***** out of space and we really didn’t get much of a chance.”

A-wing pilot (over comm): “Don’t work about it, skipper. I’m sure that we are going to have a lot more Imperials to shoot at in the coming days.”

Celchu: “Yep, and they will have a lot more rebels to shoot at also. Let’s get back to base. At least we captured another star system in the Corellian sector. Now that is a victory.”

Battle 8: Sileria

It only gets tougher!

Will you be continuing this? I know it's become the busy season for many so you may not have time, but I keep checking back to see an update haha you make great story driven reports. Thoroughly enjoying them :)

its the holidays so me and my friend are taking a break...dont worry, more to come...

Awesome read :)

Go Imperials!!!

Pics or it didn't happen.

:D

Seriously, though, I've really enjoyed this. We're starting a standard six-player CC campaign, and I'm looking forward to more from you!

This is super interesting. I would love to see more of it!

Waiting for the next one ...

Sorry been away for so long.

This conflict is returning soon.

Be on the lookout for Battle 8: Sileria

Edited by rjl51869

There will be some changes in the format of this story.

First, I have acquired three of each expansion for Armada save for only 1 Core Set and 1 Chimaera.

Purchasing another Core Set and Chimaera was not necessary.

But that means 3 of all other ships including four ISDs with Chimaera included.

So we will have a great diversity of battles.

I have taken all ship cards, shuffled them and placed them into a fleet deck.

One for the Empire and one for the Rebels.

These will be the rosters and schedule for ships to be used in upcoming battles.

Total point values for each battle will be random, so my friend and I wont know how many points will be given until we actually draw ships, squadrons and upgrades.

How we will do that will be our secret, but the ships lists should be very interesting.

If a TITLED ship reaches its damage equal to its hull value, it will be declared disabled and removed from play and placed into a 2nd deck.

If that same title of ship reaches its hull value in a second future battle, it is destroyed for the rest of the Corellian Conflict.

Hero squadrons will be treated the same way, but generic squadrons will always be available.

We of course know that FFG will be releasing the Super Star Destroyer expansion in Q1 2019.

We both cant wait for that thing to get here.

When that SSD arrives, hopefully, this story of the Corellian Conflict will be reaching its apex and its climax.

Also, at the start of this story, I said that this history was taking place after the Death Star's destruction.

However, I still wanted to use some of the characters that were killed when that thing blew up.

Tarkin, Motti, and other were among the dead at the end of A NEW HOPE.

But, maybe a clone of each were made by the Emperor and sent out to capture Corellia?

Who knows?

Grand Admiral Trebor and Grand Admiral Roberts, (Joseph) are still here facing each other for the Corellian System.

Much more to come.

So stand by for the return of the Corellian Conflict!

Objective: Minefields

[Space. Three Rebel ships, the Lure, Hook and Stingray enter an area consisting of a small asteroid field near Sileria.]

[ Lure , bridge]
Commander Song: Okay, crew. Lets look alive now. Intelligence reports indicate that there is an Imperial presence here in the Sileria sector. We had a feeling that they would be going for this planet next according to GADM Roberts, so make sure all scanners are fully active and operational.

LCDR Orem: "Yes, Sir. Our squadrons are already probing ahead. The VCX-100 has already reached the perimeter of the asteroid field. Nothing to report yet.

Song: Very well.

[ Stingray , Bridge.]

Commander Gordy: What do you have for me, scanning officer?

Scanning Officer: We are picking up some very faint energy readings near the edge of the field. Running computer calculations now, sir.

Gordy: Make it quick. Imperials could show up any second.

SOFC: Yes, sir.

[Space. The other side of the asterioid field. Two VT-49 Decimators and a TIE Bomber squadron are holding position near a collection of space mines.

Morna Kee: Thats it, Rebel scum, come closer. I have been waiting for you. Sileria will look good in the Imperial roster of protected worlds. You Rebels have no clue what you are dealing with.

Gamma Squadron Pilot: "It looks like two Nebulon-B Frigates and a Hammerhead Torpedo Corvette, Morna Kee. Shall i inform the Bruiser and the Harsh ?

Morna Kee: Wait four minutes then do so. I want the Rebels to know that they are trapped in a minefield, first. That should lower their morale. Then when they see us and our ships, that should destroy whats left of it.

[ Lure , Bridge]

Orem: Commander, the Stingray is giving us a flash report. This asteroid field has mines everywhere...and we have just entered it, Sir.

Song: "Great....just what we needed. All ships ahead slow and prepare for hostiles. The Empire is definitely here somewhere.

[Space. Appearing out of hyperspace, two Imperial ships arrive. A Victory Star Destroyer and a Light Cruiser. They take up position on the opposite end of the asteroid field. Then, the Imperial squadrons of two VT-49s and Gamma Squadron show themselves.]

[Lure, bridge]

Song: There they are. A Victory , an Arquitens and three squadrons. Looks like two Decimators and TIE Bombers. Get our ships going and be cautious of those mines. This is going to be a very careful battel between the both of us.

[Morna Kee's VT-49]

Morna Kee: Excellent. We have them. Receiving orders from the Bruiser . All ships engage and show the Rebels that dissention is not tolerated by the Emperor.

(AAR)

Round 1:
Nothing really happend except the Harsh took 2 points of mine damage by getting just a little too close to a mine that was setup near the Empire's starting area.
The Rebel ships decided to go a for a frontal assault so all of them moved closer.
The Imperial ships, of course, did not show any fear as they closed the distance as well.

Round 2:
The two Nebulon-Bs decide to get up close and personal with a Victory Star Destroyer.
They close into medium to short range and thanks to ENHANCED ARMAMENT and QUAD TURBOLASER CANNONS, they do some damage to the Bruiser and force him to discard all defense tokens.
The Harsh hits another mine, doing some damage and decides to give the Stingray some medicine which only kills its shields.
Morna Kee attacks the Hook , but misses as well as all the squadrons as no one can hit anything.

Round 3:
The Lure moves into close range of the Bruiser and lets fly with a full strike.
The Bruiser is disabled and is forced to leave the area.
The Harsh does get some parting shots on the Stingray and the Hook , but it knows its outgunned and hyperspaces out of the area.
The squadrons retreat and return and the Rebels win the day!

[Hyperspace, Morna Kee's Decimator]

Morna Kee: Make sure a full report is given to Trebor. Let him know that our own ships could not make their way thru the Silerian minefield and the Bruiser was disabled. That ship will be out for a while.

Gamma Squadron Pilot: Yes, Ma'am. He's not going to like it, Ma'am.

Morna Kee: I know.

[Lure, Bridge.]

Gordy: Well done everyone. We gave the Empire a black eye! Get our forces down to the main asteroid base in Sileria. Tell them they will not have to fear the Empire this day!

[Space. The planet Truuzdann. Hovering in orbit, the Imperial ships, Cronus and Triton , surrounded by four squadrons led by Morna Kee are awaiting orders.]

[Morna Kee's VT-49 Decimator]

Morna Kee: I am so relieved that GADM Trebor gave me another chance to crush the Rebels. I thought i was going to be transferred from his fleet to somewhere else less comfortable.
2nd Officer Kora: I am surprised that you still have your life, Ma'am.
Kee: Grand Admiral Trebor isnt like that, Kora. He is not like Lord Vader or any of the Emperor's other commanders. He reminds me of a more patient GADM Thrawn if anyone else. He is very forgiving, but he is ruthless in battle. I still dont understand Trebor's abilities when he fights battles. It seems...
Kora: Jedi like?
Kee: Perhaps. Im not sure.
Admiral Ozzel (over comm): Morna Kee, this is Admiral Ozzel on the Cronus . Report squadron status.
Kee: Yes, Admrial. My ship and the other Decimator are staying close together and will try to stay close for the upcoming battle. The JumpMaster 5000 and the Lambda Shuttle will approach from the flanks and will try to catch any Rebel ships off guard. Do we know who the Rebels are sending to Truuzdann?
Ozzel: According to the scanning officer aboard the Triton we have picked up two large Rebel ships and two transports. It seems the Rebels are very much ready to fight for this planet.
Kee: Good. I want some revenge for Sileria.
Ozzel: Remember, Morna Kee, GADM Trebor does not believe in revenge, but he does believe in redemption.
Kee: Yes, Sir. Understood. We will attack on your command, Admiral.
Ozzel: Our sensor teams are beginning to check the area now. We must get all this information back to the Grand Admiral.

[Space. Two Rebel MC80s, a command cruiser and a star cruiser, flash out of hyperspace. Two GR-75 Medium Transports are alongside with them. Flying out of the hangar bays of the larger ships, four squadrons under the command of Corran Horn, move to the front of the Constellation . They see the two large Imperial ships and brace for battle.]

ROUND 1:
Objective Chosen: SENSOR NET

The Rebels take up positions nearest the closest sensor tokens so that they can try to get VPs early.
The Imperials stay with them as all ships move forward towards each other jockeying for position.
No attacks this round of course.

ROUND 2:
A couple of good sensor sweeps allow the Rebels and the Empire to grab some VPs.
The Formidable deals some shield damage to the Cronus as the Rebels strike the first blow.
The Constellation hits the Triton , but only scratches the shields.
The squadrons come together and decide they all want to engage each other.
It will be squad vs squad on the next round.

ROUND 3:
The Triton fires a full load from its front on the Constellation at close range.
The Constellation loses all front and starboard shielding and takes damage.
The Constellation wants payback and fires double zone on the Triton , knocking down two shileds and causing power failures inside the ship.
The Constellation does pick up VPs for a Sensor Token that was in range.
The Cronus gets some VPs for a sensor token and lights up the poor GR-75 Medium Transports that somehow, wandered into medium range of an Imperial II-Class Star Destroyer.
Dont need to say much after that! EMPIRE SCORES 18 POINTS!
The Cronus does shield damage to the Formidable .
After seeing the Telecasts go down, the Formidable launches a full strike at the Cronus.
It takes down all shields and does minor internal damage.
The squadrons move as Morna Kee and the Lambda shuttle send the HWK-290 to the graveyard. EMPIRE SCORES 12 POINTS!
B-wings and YT-1300 get closer to the enemy, while Corran Horn and Morna Kee trade a point of damage to each other.

ROUND 4:
The Triton gets a terrible roll and does nothing to the Constellation at close range.
The Constellation gets double arc on the Triton and unloads on it.
The Triton is disabled and warps out of the Truuzdann system. REBELS SCORE 93 POINTS!
The Cronus gets up close and personal with the Formidable .
Two accuracies prevent any type of defense on the MC80 Star Cruiser, which becomes disabled and warps out for home. EMPIRE SCORES 113 POINTS!
Squadrons battle back and forth.
Corran Horn's E-Wing Squadron is dusted, although Horn gets out of the area to fight another day. EMPIRE SCORES 22 POINTS!
The Constellation has already taken some good damage and with two ships gone, it cannot take out the ISD-II on its own.
It warps out of the system and the battle ends!
REBELS AND EMPIRE SCORE 30 SENSOR POINTS!

Empire captures Truuzdann!

[ Cronus , docking bay. Morna Kee's VT-49 Decimator lands. The doors open and Kee steps out of the ship. Admiral Ozzel is waiting there. She salutes smartly.]

Kee: Permission to come aboard, Admiral Ozzel.
Ozzel: You have redeemed yourself, Ms. Kee, permission is granted. With the evacuation of the Rebel forces and the completion of our sensor sweeps, Truuzdann belongs to the Empire. GADM Trebor is satified.
Kee: Thank you, Sir. When is my next assignment?
Ozzel: You will be informed when you are needed again. Go to your quarters and recuperate.
Kee: Very good, Sir.

[In another sector of space, a badly damaged MC80 Star Cruiser and MC80 Command Cruiser, arrive at the main Rebel Fleet. There are dozens of starships here. MC75s and MC80 Home One and Liberty -class Cruisers, assault frigates and many Corellian corvettes. There are lots of Nebulon-Bs , Pelta -class and Hammerhead -class ships. There are lots of GR-75 Medium Transports as well. All of these starships surround a very large and immense battleship in the center of the armada. This is the Oblivion , a Mon Calamari Viscount Star Defender, supreme command headquarters of Alliance Fleet Alpha , the codename for the Alliance Corellian Sector Fleet and also the flagship of Grand Admiral Roberts!]

[ Constellation , bridge.]
Gen Cracken: This is General Cracken returning to fleet. The Formidable has been badly damaged and we have taken some hits also. We lost the Telecasts , though. They got too close to the enemy.
Comm: This is Garm Bel Iblis. Glad you made it home in one piece, General. GADM Roberts is happy you made it back. He wants to see you as soon as you have recovered.
Cracken: Understood, Garm. I will be there as soon as possible. I hope he doesnt yell at me too much.
Iblis: Dont worry, General. He's not that kind of guy. Just get yourself cleaned up and come on board the Oblivion as soon as you can.

Next: Interlude 3

Edited by rjl51869

Interlude 3:

[Space. Alliance Fleet Alpha . Viscount Star Defender Oblivion . General Cracken's shuttle lands in one of the hangar bays. He is met by Princess Leia, Garm Bel Iblis and Corran Horn.]

Cracken: Princess, its good to see you. Garm, I so regret the defeat we faced out there. Corran, glad you got back in one piece.
Horn: The E-Wing is a tougher fighter than some people think, General. The Empire is going to have to try harder to shoot me out of space.
Garm Bel Iblis: Corran Horn, i don't think even a Death Star could blast you out of space. Get yourself cleaned up and have the medical droids check you out.
Horn: Yes, sir.

[Exit Corran Horn]

Garm: So, Truuzdann belongs to the Empire. The Formidable will be out for a while so they can repair her scars. She might not be able to take another beating.
Leia: I understand General Iblis, but we need all the available ships we can get. We are still awaiting the arrival of more of the MC80 Liberty and Home One classes, but they are being delayed by construction problems. Also, some of the MC75 Cruisers we requested from Mon Calamari are having hyperdrive issues. They might not get here in time to help us turn the tide in the early stages of this campaign for the Corellian System.
Garm: We will do the best we can, Princess. We still have many ships here in the Fleet that can give the Empire a lot of black eyes and bloody noses.
Leia: I know, but with the Empire now sending Imperial- class Star Destroyers our way, the stakes just got tougher. Fighting against Victorys, Gladiators and some of the Empire's smaller ships was hard enough.
Cracken: Princess, you must have faith that we will be able to do the job. The Empire is ruthless, evil, merciless and all they want to do is subjugate the entire galaxy under the Emperor's heel. But we are on the side of freedom, peace, prosperity and liberty for all. I think a lot more planets here in the Corellian System will flock to our cause when we start giving the Empire a few more setbacks.
Another Voice: We have to hope that is true what you just said, General Cracken.

[Enter Grand Admiral Roberts. He stands six feet tall. Black hair, piercing blue eyes and a muscular build with a very noticeable scar running from his left eye down to the center of the cheekbone. He walks off an elevator and strides to the three Rebel leaders in the docking bay. They snap to attention.]

Roberts: At ease, please everyone. We are all friends and comrades here. Especially you, Princess Leia of Alderaan.
Leia: We just didn't expect you to come to the docking bay, Sir. General Cracken was just giving us a quick report before he came to see you.
Roberts: I know and that's ok. He should be in sickbay though getting checked out. The Constellation suffered some damage too didn't it, General?
Cracken: Yes, sir, but not too bad. She could be ready for our next plan of attack sooner than we expect.
Roberts: Very well. In the meantime, have yourself checked out by the droids, Mr. Cracken. I want to make sure that you are ALSO ready for your next assignment very soon.
Cracken: Very good, Grand Admiral.

[Exit General Cracken]

Garm: Do we know where our next operation is going to take place, Sir?
Roberts: According to our spies, the twin planets of Talus and Tralus look to be the Empire's next target. We need to be ready for them.
Leia: Grand Admiral, do we know who is in charge of the Imperial fleet yet? Whomever he or she is, this commander has been outwitting and outguessing many of our moves. Do you think we have spies in our own fleet that are relaying information to this person?
Roberts: Of course we have Imperial spies in our fleet. This is war, Princess, and espionage is one of the main ingredients of war. We have spies in the Imperial sectors also, although we haven't heard much from them lately. Spying is a very dangerous business.
Leia: Do we have ANY idea who is leading the Empire over here in Corellia?
Roberts: I have my suspicions but I'm not ready to give any suggestions or deductions without more information. Believe me, Princess, i will let you know when i know. (Pauses...turns slowly and looks out into space thru the hangar bay. He sees the many ships of Alliance Fleet Alpha as well as the empty void beyond. He cracks a very light smile.)

[Space. The other end of the Corellian Sector. The Star Destroyer Cronus warps into the area. It is immediately flanked by TIE Fighter squadrons for escort. It approaches a section of space that is full of over a hundred Imperial ships. Imperial, Victory and Gladiator -class Star Destroyers. Light carriers, light cruisers, corvettes and a large number of Interdictor ships swarm the region. But they all pale in comparison to the ship that they surround in the direct center of this very powerful armada. The gigantic Super Star Destroyer Judgment , flagship of Grand Admiral Trebor and supreme command headquarters of Imperial Fleet Omega , the codename for the Empire's Corellian Sector Fleet. Huge, powerful and loaded with weapons. However, the Judgment is still under construction. Still at the official level of Star Dreadnought Command Prototype.]

[ Cronus, bridge. Admiral Ozzel is conferring with a hologram. The hologram stands six feet tall.]

Ozzel: Grand Admiral Trebor, we have returned to the fleet. Truuzdann is ours!
Trebor: Well done, Admiral Ozzel. Report on your casualties.
Ozzel: The Triton was disabled, Sir. She will be out of action for weeks. The Cronus took minor damage, but easy to repair. Also, if i may report, Morna Kee has redeemed herself.
Trebor: Excellent, Admiral. Make sure you give her my compliments. It will give her morale a boost the next time we need her.
Ozzel: Yes, Sir. How goes the construction of the Judgment , Grand Admiral?
Trebor: Long way to go yet, Admiral Ozzel. She can defend herself, but she is no condition for fleet operations. It will be several months before she loses the "Prototype" title. But when she is ready, the Rebels will be in for a BIG surprise, don't you think?
Ozzel: Of course, Sir. However....
Trebor: However what? Speak your mind, Admiral. You know you do not need to fear me.
Ozzel: I sometimes think that the Rebels may be stronger than the Emperor thinks. We did lose the Death Star not too long ago at Yavin.
Trebor: Its ok to be cautious, Admiral, just don't be too cautious. I hear that there is a chance you might be serving aboard the Super Star Destroyer Executor when its construction is completed. There is a chance that my Master might give that ship to Lord Vader in order to find the main rebel base. You do not want to disappoint him.
Ozzel: Yes, Grand Admiral, but the Rebel Alliance is gaining more allies by the day. They are chaotic, dissenting, they represent dis-order and all they want to do is throw the galaxy into civil war. We represent peace, organization, control, and providence for the galaxy.
Trebor: Nice speech you just said there, Admiral Ozzel, but I can only imagine what the Rebels say about us. My Master does have many feelings about the Alliance. He has a plan to defeat them and we will follow his orders without question. However, he knows and understands my methods. He knows that because of the way i handle my forces, i will not fail him. I never have.
Admiral Ozzel: Of course, Grand Admiral. I know that you have a high tolerance for failure and you want your people to correct those mistakes, Sir.
Trebor: You are correct, Admiral. Everyone has made a mistake or has failed during their lifetime. Even me, before i understood the ways of the Force. Yes, Admiral, i know that the Force is something that is probably beyond your comprehension and i mean no insult or dis-respect by saying that. Its something between me, my Master and that Lord Vader have in common. But why should someone be executed just because of failure? You know what i did to Captain Flavius of the Victory Star Destroyer Duelist . He killed a scanning officer just because he made an error in his job. That i will not tolerate! They dont learn anything and they wont try harder next time to succeed. So i had Flavius executed for treason! Failure is the greatest teacher any person can have. From our frontline Stormtroopers to our highest ranking officers. Because sooner or later, that person will succeed. Success is what will make our Empire greater, stronger and more powerful than ever.
Admiral Ozzel: I totally agree with you, Grand Admiral.
Trebor: Of course you do. But if you didn't, i wouldn't have any issues with it anyway. I am NOT Lord Vader, Admiral Ozzel, but if you ever serve under him one day, do not displease him in ANY way.
Ozzel: Yes, Sir. Do we know our next operation?
Trebor: I think Talus is the next Rebel target, according to our spies in the Alliance network. I'm pretty sure their spies have told them the same thing from inside our own network.
Admiral Ozzel: So you DO believe that we have rebel spies in Imperial Fleet Omega .
Trebor: Of course we do, Admiral. This is war and espionage is one of the main ingredients of war.
Ozzel: Have our spies given us any indication of whos in charge of the Rebel Fleet trying to send Corellia into chaos?
Trebor: Not yet. I have my suspicions who it might be, but without further information, i do not want to give any suggestions or deductions at this time. Meanwhile, have the Cronus form up with the fleet. I have to prepare the operation for Talus.
Ozzel: As you command, Grand Admiral Trebor. (The hologram vanishes)

[Super Star Destroyer Judgment , Trebor's quarters. Grand Admiral Trebor switches off the hologram of Admiral Ozzel. Six feet tall, black hair and piercing blue eyes. A muscular build with a very noticeable scar that runs down from his right eye to the center of the cheekbone. He walks towards a HUGE window that shows the vastness of space as well as the many ships of Imperial Fleet Omega . He looks out into the void and cracks a very light smile.]

[Space. The MC30 Torpedo Frigate Warning approaches the far side of the planet Talus. The Assault Frigate Perfection is by its side. On the bridge, General Rieekan sits down into his command chair and studies the viewscreen which shows the planet and the stars beyond.]

Rieekan: Okay everyone, lets get to battle stations. Thanks to some friends we have on Talus, they have informed us that the Empire has already arrived into their orbit. The good news is that they told what Imperial ships there are.

Officer: We have it here, Sir. A light carrier and an Interdictor cruiser. The report also says only one squadron is guarding them. TIE Phantoms they think. Should we launch our X-wings?

Rieekan: Not yet, Mr. Tyson. Lets get into battle range first. Has General Draven and the Transports arrived yet?

Tyson: Yes, General. The Transport ships just warped in next to the Perfection . They are hanging back though. I dont think that they want to get close to the battle.

Rieekan: Well they are going to have no choice in the matter. We will need their Comms Net ability to help us out. Tell them to get into formation, but to be very cautious. If there is an Interdictor cruiser here, it still has some good firepower. The light carrier isnt an easy target either.

Tyson: Yes Sir!

[Space. The three Rebel ships have formed up together and prepare to face the Imperial threat. The Empire has sent the Quasar Fire II-Class Cruiser-Carrier Pursuant and the Interdictor Cruiser Suppresion Refit Prevent . Then a small squadron of TIE Phantoms emerge from the hull of the carrier and form out in front. This is the squadron of Whisper, the ace of the TIE Phantoms. ]

[ Pursuant , bridge.]

Screed: This is Admiral Screed! The Rebels have found us a little early it appears. No matter. Open fire and destroy them all!

Objective Chosen: MOST WANTED

ROUND 1:

The Rebel ships move first as the MC30 frigate is given the Most Wanted token.
The Imperial Interdictor gets the other.
No shots fired in the round as all ships get into a good position.

ROUND 2:

In this round, the Pursuant decides to go after the Warning as Screed believes that he can knock out a small ship very fast.
But the Warning uses movement to stay out of the firing arcs of the larger ship.
Whisper's TIE Phantom Squadron heads after the X-Wings and does moderate damage, before taking some hits himself.
He cloaks and gets away.
The GR-75s do not do their movement correctly and are dangerously close to leaving the board.
The Perfection gets into attack range and deals some shield damage to the Prevent .
The Prevent fires back but only scratches a shield or two.

ROUND 3:

The Warning gets into an excellent firing position and gives the Pursuant some major damage with good accuracy shots.
Whisper's TIE Phantoms are activated by the light carrier and attack the Warning.
They get nothing and cluster bombs eliminate Whisper's fighters. REBELS SCORE 20 POINTS!
Whisper manages to limp back to the Interdictor instead of the carrier.
He believes the carrier is going down.
The Pursuant fires it's weapons at the MC30, knocking down shields and scoring small damage.
The GR-75s leave the board.
They escape but the Empire gets points. EMPIRE SCORES 23 POINTS!
The Perfection has a medium range shot on the Pursuant .
With no shields on the attacked side, the Assault Frigate blasts away at the Light Carrier!
The carrier is disabled and forced to leave the area.
Admiral Screed is furious! REBELS SCORE 107 POINTS!
The Prevent takes a shot at the Perfection , but only manages to knock down a shield with some bad dice rolls.

ROUND 4:

The Warning is moving very fast and it will take some time for it to get into long range on the Prevent .
The Prevent could still be able to damage the Perfection , which is closest to it.
But the Perfection has better side firing arcs and it gets into a side shot.
Plus, the assault frigate uses engineering and recharges its shields.
The surviving Rebel X-wings do a bombing run on the Interdictor and do nothing, but they are still there to harass the large ship.
Knowing that this battle cannot end well, the Prevent warps out of the area and leaves the Rebels as the winner.

[ Warning , bridge.]

Rieekan: It look slike the Empire has lost the will to fight. Well done, everyone. Did General Draven and the transports get away?

Tyson: Yes, sir. They have landed on Talus and are beginning their negotiations for control of the planet. This was a nice win for us, General.

Riekaan: Yes, Mr. Tyson, it was indeed.

[Space. The Gallant Haven is on patrol near the planet Tralus. Surrounded by squadrons, it makes its way towards the far side of the planet.]

[ Gallant Haven, bridge]

Gen. Rieekan: I am really suprised about all this. After winning over Talus, GADM Roberts now sends me to Tralus. However, he allows me the use of the Gallant Haven , which he knows is designed really to combat Imperial squadrons. I sometimes wonder if he thinks too highly of me.

Support Officer: I dont think that you have to worry, Sir. The Grand Admiral has a lot of confidence in you.

Riekaan: I thank you for the vote of confidence, Mr. Seer, but it doesnt make me feel any better. Tralus is the twin of Talus and we already know that the Empire is here, waiting for us. One assault frigate might not be enough for us to win the day.

Seer: I trust in your command abilities, Sir. You tell us what you want done and it will be done.

Flight Controller: General Rieekan, Corran Horn wishes to speak with you.

Rieekan: This is General Rieekan. What do you have for me, Corran?

[Corran Horn's E-wing fighter, cockpit]
Horn: A bunch of itchy trigger fingers, General. The Empire is here, i can feel it. My fellow pilots need to shoot down some TIEs.

Ketsu Onyo (over comm): You dont waste any time do you, Corran? Just be patient like the rest of us.

Horn: Patience, Ketsu, might get yourself blown out of space. I just want to turn some Imperial fighters into space dust.

Rieekan: Well, you about to get your wish, Corran Horn. Sensors have just picked up Imperial ships. Looks like a light carrier and Gozanti- class cruisers. Squadrons have just left the carrier's hangar bay and are already approaching the planet.

Horn: Good. Lets show them some Alliance resolve. All fighters, get into attack position and prepare to engage.

[ Squall, bridge.]

Minister Tua: I told you, Admiral Konstantine, we came out of hyperspace too close to Tralus. I sometimes wonder how you were chosen for Imperial Fleet Omega.

Admiral Konstantine: Silence, Tua.

Tua: That's Minister Tua, Admiral. You still havent acknowledged my statement.

Konstantine: Because it does not need to be acknowledged. I am in command of this small force and i will decide how to proceed. Now, first off, get the squadrons out of the hangars and make way for the planet. Second, Tell the Vector's slicers to begin their operations immediately. Third, inform our special guest that he may begin his flight operations.

Tua: That special guest of ours is Lord Vader. You tell him yourself! I have to go check on our defenses. (She leaves the bridge)

Konstantine: I cant stand that woman. (opens a channel) Lord Vader, it is an honor for me to inform you that you may exit the Squall whenever you wish, my Lord.

[Space. Two TIE Interceptor squadrons, a Lambda -class shuttle and a squadron of TIE Advanced fighters shoot out of the Squall's hangars.]

Darth Vader: Stay in attack formation and follow my every command! Is that understood?

Ciena Ree (in her fighter): We obey my Lord!

Colonel Jendon (in his shuttle): We obey my Lord.

[The Imperial squadrons join up near the carrier, while getting communications from the Gozanti flotilla. It is only a matter of minutes before the fight begins...]

Rebels gain foothold on Tralus!

[ Squall , bridge]

Comm officer: Admiral Konstantine, a message from Lord Vader.

Konstantine: Put it through, Mr. Wiss.

Darth Vader: Admiral Konstantine, the Emperor and Grand Admiral Trebor will not be pleased with this failure. I will make my report of your failure as commander of this force over Tralus. Do you have any objections, Admiral?

Konstantine: No my Lord. I have failed as you have said. I will await the Emperor's judgment.

Vader: Yes you will.

[Space. The remains of Vader's TIE Advanced squadron shoots into hyperspace and leaves the damaged light carrier behind.]

[ Squall , bridge. Enter Minister Tua and Ciena Ree.]

Ciena: Nice going, Admiral. Lord Vader is going to make sure that the Emperor has our heads because of this lousy strategy you tried.

Konstantine: Im not worried at all, Ms. Ree. Lord Vader may be the Emperor's right hand man, but its Grand Admiral Trebor who is in charge of Imperial Fleet Omega and the Emperor has given him full command and authority over all Imperial Forces. Even Lord Vader does not have any power over Trebor. He is the Emperor's favorite.

Tua: You had better be right, Admiral. Sickbay says that Colonel Jendon was injured during the battle, but should be fine. However, it looks like the Rebels have gained a stronghold on Tralus. We will need another day to try and capture the planet.

[ Gallant Haven , bridge.]

Seer: The Imperial ships have lest the system, General. We can now begin Tralus negotiations.

Rieekan: Very well, but this battle came at a cost. Setsu Onyo just reported that we lost Corran Horn. He died fighting for what he believed in. I will inform Grand Admiral Roberts. Since this was only a minor battle over Tralus, we can only hold hold diplomatic relations with Tralus. So send our delegations down to the planet's surface. Then prepare to return to Alliance Fleet Alpha.

Seer: Yes, General Rieekan.
