Sure, Miranda was strong and popular. Sure, she became stronger and more popular when Sabine arrived. But other things that were contemporaneous either with Miranda or Miranda + Sabine:
-Palp Aces (in its various permutations)
-Triple Scouts, which is pretty much a hard counter. One blocks, the other two fire and oh hey it's Boba let's get rid of...your TLT. Also you have like three hull left. And I'm slooping next turn and firing again if you're still in range. [blitzcrank laugh]
-Dengaroo, lol
-x7, lol
-Parattani, lol.
-Quad TLT, good luck with that regen
And the point is: yeah, Miranda was good. Yeah, Miranda was strong. Yeah, Miranda + Sabine, same deal. But even with Sabine, Miranda was never a meta-shattering force on her own. ****, she was extremely vulnerable to Aggressors, as their cannons tear through her in two turns while her TLT mostly just bounces off. And there were no wingmen to pair her with that would let her shatter the meta. There was no list with Miranda that was as good as its contemporary top lists for, what, eighteen months?
Miranda isn't the problem.

Well...in broad terms, yes. They can't SLAM and do an action card. Will it care? Probably not.
What Ibe heard, and I'll never tell how, is that although the designers had it on the nerf testing list, it just hasn't been put on the FAQ draft for some reason. It's akin to the Biggs nerf testing, same thing.
But as far as TLTs, I think if it had s bigger showing in Nationals (besides Nym and Miranda) it might have gotten more of a push, IDK. The Aggressor is just a solid platform for it like Y-Wings, they're not OP, they cannot rise to the top.

If you had made me chose between an extra Z-95 and TLT on Miranda, then I would throw away that Z so fast is entered hyperspace.
They just need to make some better cheaper turrets for people to choose from. This game is fixed by power creep.
Also they just gave TLT to imperials. I highly doubt they will nerf a thing they just re-printed.
Tlt takes longer to resolve than I like it to. But other than that it is pretty tame by today's standards.
TLT is a great example of the high accuracy low damage weapons people ask for as part of x-wing 2.0.

Why not have both?
My point is that on Miranda, TLT is worth more than on anything else. For her, points cost is almost irrelevant, as long as it leaves enough squad points to bring a friend that can carry her to an end game against something that is worth less than her.

Um, no. Autothruster Arc Dodgers dealt with them just fine. It was actually auto damage that did them in.

yeah true. compounded effects. bombs put them over the edge. soontir went into hiding long b4 bombs started taking steroids tho. bombs aka auto damage just broke the camels back.
bombs have restricted agile ships ability to arc dodge and give chase. now they give chase and get bombed, they hang back they get TLT'd. two bad choices. Sure autothrusters will help limit damage taken but ur fighting a losing battle if u think green dice will beat red dice.
meta has morphed into two ship tanks. one tank drops bombs while the other take throws red dice. i know there are a few other lists that are competitive and ppl will cry 'just fly better' but those in the know KNOW there has been a disturbance in the balance of this game... we are playing in a meta where red dice and auto damage wins more than 'flying better does'.
Did you notice what squad Paul Heaver was winning with? Did you see what squads made the top16? top8? at your store champs? did any of those lists use at least one TLT, bomblet generator or Sabine? Were any of those ships using PS10 Nym, jumpmasters or K-Wings with regen and TLT and bombs? I would suggest that over half the field were and for good reason. These ships are superior to 80% of the rest of the ships in the game. I'm not seeing much diversity and I'm not seeing many competitive lists that don't use TLT's and/or bombs.

There are several effects, though I feel that some (like the current bomb situations) could have done it all on there own.
