I know that the article stated that wave XIII will be coming after the movie, but no other wave had a pre-order from the development section of Upcoming before. It just seems weird to me and thought I would comment on it. Maybe one of you have some insight or knowledge on the subject. Maybe it is a big deal and maybe it isn't.

Actually there are many other (non X-Wing) products in the development section, that can be pre-ordered. I don't think it really means anything, it seems pretty much random.

It usually seems to be for the REALLY big stuff that capitalizes on things like:

A new movie (Wave 13)

A new IP for FFG (Lot5R card game)

The OG product from FFG (Twilight Imperium 4)

Like, when they feel they can really capitalize on the hype from the product. Other than that, doesn't seem to have much rhyme or reason.
