Who won U.K. Nationals and with what?

Uniqe Jumpmaster will still be insanely underpriced, this is not a solution.

The toilet seat appears in TESB??

No, but it does appear in the Freemaker Adventures which is a Lego cartoon on the Disney Channel. This adequately explains why a 9 year old would know what it is and to whom the ship belongs. My kids watch it too and they love Dengar!

Ok. I was worried not remembering a ship that ugly... :)

I'd like to see a 'Freemaker Adventures' wave, to be honest. Between Jek's Stealth Starfighter (E-wing fix), M-OC's Tracker 1 (Phantom-that's-not-ACD/VI-Whisper-fix) and Dengar (Jumpmaster 'tweak') there's quite a few things in there - not to mention the assorted X-wings, the Freemaker's own ship (which I think looks cool) and that sunhawk-esque fighter with the cannon that explodes.

I don't know about insane, but it's definitely very good. Regardless, I had this argument with a friend at a local club; making something unique is not a way to make something balanced when he wanted to make TIE/x7 unique rather than weaken it; either it's too good or not good enough, the fact that you can "only field one broken thing" is not an excuse for the broken thing to remain broken.

Same here:) I'm willing to bet even the most obscure Star Wars ship has its fans. Look at gunboat for example. Pretty obscure in the grand scheme of things, from a game that's likely older than many Star Wars fans and it still has almost a cult around here :)

Almost? :D

... uhm,

No we did not, most definitely not sacrifice anybody. Such a thing we would not do never and have not never done.

can someone dispatch these gungan corpses please?

That's cool. I fondly remember that scene in ANH as a kid where the brave hero piloted his JMK-5000 down the trench of the Death Star and saved the Galaxy.

Makes me happy to see such an iconic ship do well in the tournament scene.

When an interested passerby comes and watches a game and sees the JMK-5000 on the mat, it's so awesome to watch their expression of nostalgia and joy at seeing a favorite childhood design.

God, how do I hate this sentiment. Star Wars is a far bigger IP than just the original 3 movies. I grew up playing LucasArts games on PC and the Decipher CCG. Guess which ships those games featured?! Those are my beloved childhood designs. The punishing one was a beast in the CCG. Shame on you for thinking your narrow version of a massive franchise that spans 40 years, 9 theatrically released movies, 2 animated shows, and countless comics, video games, and RPG sourcebook material is the only version.

(I do however acknowledge the competitive balance issue of the JM5K, but the physical model is still cool to me)

What do you think happened to Paragoomba Slayer?

He's gone to live with the Alderaanians, who unanimously decided to help colonise a new planet with the people of Scarrif (in outer rim, you won't have heard of it) and donated their old one to the Imperial Asteroid mining sector.

I think I did hear about this. Starkilly-something, the place was called, wasn't it?

Same.

Wish there was a way to bring him back.. Not to tick people off, just have some more of the old forum back.

Agree. There's a bunch of the old Guard missing. I didn't always agree with what they said but it was interesting none the less.

.

Well I guess with 9 or so JM5K's in the top 8, FFG are going to have to do something with this ship. It has dominated since release and has not looked like settling down. We know they wont increase the cost or make it unique, every ship needs a generic for sales purposes, so what will they do? I enjoy the game, but if every tournament we go to has either Nym +1 or a JM5K combo, surely that will turn a lot of people off? Maybe fiddling with the available slots is the only option open to them, is cutting them down to 1 torpedo enough? We all know that it shouldn't have an EPT too....

Well at least those who grew up playing some PC game from the late 90s early 2000s get to see their iconic ship do well in the Meta.

THe Gunboat's not even out yet tho

If tournament players don't like it then ban it from tournaments. That way all the competitive types have less to complain about and those of us that play for fun can carry on with Dengar and all the other ships that are cool ( and that make 9 year olds smile!)

Or they nerf it appropriately, which allows it at tournaments and still doesn't prevent a 9 year old from using it because it still exists and they don't care about it's power, right?

The ongoing debate seems to be how to 'nerf' something that is proving to be difficult to 'nerf'. Thus, to placate the hardcore tournament players, it would be simpler to say no more allowed in tournaments and subsequently prevent ongoing complaining. This would have no effect on casual players (or 9 year olds) who don't care about 'power creep' but like flying Star Wars ships piloted by their favourite characters.

My simple Jumpmaster fix. Increase point cost of all pilots by 10 points. Now tell me that this wouldn't put the game in a better place.
