What is a good card/set up to counter the shield regeneration list, besides taking it out on the 1st turn........

Kylo Ren crew or Wampa. You get to assign them damage cards even through shields. That's a **** of a lot harder to fix.

As with most hard to kill ships the generel strategy is focussed fire. You throw all you ships at it at the regen ship and you do not change target until they are dead. The big mistake most players do is to spread their fire between targets. This is especially true against regen ships. Its a question of timing, commitment and good maneuvering.

Alpha-strike lists is one of the things regen ships fear the most. A volley of 2-3 modified missile/torpedoes is a good start and will sometimes be enough and if not, just continue to pursue and fire at them with all you got.

As Jimbawa mentions Kylo Ren crew or the TIE fighter Wampas ability to assign them damage cards even through shields is great against many regen ships especilly against Regen-Corran or Regen-Poe less so against Miranda and against regen-Norra it does not really make a difference.
In my opinion the best list against Regen-Corran or Regen-Poe is Rear Admiral Chiraneau with Gunner and Kylo Ren crew combined with Darth Vader with TIE/x1 title and Advanced Targeting Computer. With this list the strategy is to let RAC assign Blinded Pilot and/or Damaged Cockpit to the target each round while Vader Target Locks the target and just blast them out of the sky with focussed fire.

Boba Fett is good against astromech-regen ships like Regen-Corran, Regen-Poe and regen-Norra if you got a way to get crits - like proton torpedoes. In my opinion the best lists to do this is Tripple Scouts (3 Jumpmasters, 2 with Plasma Torpedoes and 1 with Proton Torpedoes and Boba Fett). The strategy is again focussed fire, where you remove the shields with Plasmas and then fire a Proton at the regen ship to get a crit and use that to remove the regen-astromech (often R2-D2). Then pursue and blast it to pieces.
If using Boba Fett against Miranda remove her TLT because thats what she most often uses for regen.

Whatever you fly the general strategy against regen ships is focussed fire and pursue until dead. So position your ships, so you can do this - it works

ion control. R2D2 cant regen if ion'd. Scout with ion projector, vessery with ion cannon, even the EMP device buys you a round of no regen and focus fire.
