Trying to clarify qui-gon's ability for my wife and could not find an answer using the search. If he has a shield and she uses a "2" shield die to give him shields does he only deal one damage or are the shields given one at a time and he can do 2 total damage and end with one shield? Or would it have to be two separate die, and he can cause one damage per die regardless of how many shields each die gives him? My first thought was yes to the first question but the more I thought about how the dice are used for damage (I can split the damage from two die to two characters as long as neither die was a modifier and they match symbols, so even though I am "using" them both at the same time they happen one at a time) the more I am thinking it is yes to question 2 and no to question 1. What say the forum?
Can Qui-Gon's Ability do more than one damage?
Only one shield per source can be converted to damage, but it can happen once per source. Each die is a source. One die with two shields can only ping once, but two dice each with one can each ping once for two total.
LOL, I was just coming back to say I did find it on my own. But thanks for answering.
Just to get ahead of a potential future question, 'one damage per source' also applies to card effects. So you can't play 'Entrenched' ( Give 5 shields to your characters, distributed as you wish) and then decide to give them to Qui-Gon one at a time, trading each off as a damage. His particular set of skills aren't that special.

No, you give him 1-3 at one time, not one at a time.

That's what I was trying to say. It's all one thing, not many little things.
