Deadly Accuracy

By AceSolo5, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

So, Deadly Accuracy says "When acquired, choose 1
combat skill. Add damage
equal to ranks in that skill
to one hit of a successful
attack made using that skill. understand only use it once per session".

Does "one hit" mean once per session or once per encounter??

Once per attack. So it only adds to the first hit with the Auto-fire and Linked qualities, and the first hit with two weapons.

So if I've applied it to ranged light & I'm just using the one heavy blaster it's useless??

If by "heavy blaster" you mean "heavy blaster rifle," then yes, useless.

If you mean a heavy blaster pistol, then it applies. But if you were dual wielding pistols, it would only apply once. Or if you had an auto pistol, only the first hit would apply.

Yeah sorry, that's a Heavy Blaster Pistol. So that's every attack i make with my Blaster Pistol adds damage equal to my skill in Ranged Light?

Ouch... that's gonna hurt some of my GM's bad guys!! :D

Yes and yes. Although instead of out Wounding you might consider it's very much helping you overcome Soak so it's an avenue to landing crits on heavily armored targets.

That makes sense... This is sounding like the best 20xp I've spent so far, when we read the description last night neither the GM or myself could work out how often it could be used, it's not the clearest description but then we didn't read the full talent description, just the one on the talent tree. I'll let him know.... He'll be well chuffed :D And it's about time I got him back for killing some of my favorite NPCs (waaaaay too quickly) when I was running the last campaign ;)

Always read the full Talent descriptions, some are bad, one is pretty much just plain wrong.

Deadly Accuracy is one of the best combat talents out there. The devs intentionally left it out of all the force-sensitive class trees; if you want to use it with a lightsaber you need to add a non-force tree.
