Not sure about the Op Specs. With Jonus re-rolls and Guidance Chips it's not going to trigger too often (probably only on Jonus' attack initially). What were your thoughts on this? Would Fleet Officer be better?

Personally I prefer Veteran Instincts over Deadeye as it's still useful after your munitions are spent. Deadeye does have that flexibility though.

Without Lightweight Frame those Aggressors could be a little more fragile. As an alternative Pure Sabacc with LWF, Ailerons and VI instead of the Inquisitor would allow you to upgrade your Aggressors.

:) I approve; nice build for Deathfire.

Thanks for the input. This is my thought process in regards to the comments for construction of the builds.

For this build, I went with Jonus and Op Specs not necessarily for the bonus on the attack for the plasma torps. It was meant more to allow Deadeye to triggered on the first/second salvo if the ships were stressed, stripped of focus tokens, blocked by other ships, Tie Bombers K-turn, etc. Jonus could shoot first (another Tie Bomber can shoot if this doesn't work) and hopefully miss to give a focus to a Tie Bomber for Deadeye.

I agree LWF would make the Aggressors a bit beefier. Though, with 5 health, 2 AGI and a decent dial they are still pretty durable without it. The lack of LWF gave me more points for a better ace to be paired with them.

I can see that. Op Specs is a great card. I've had most success with Snap Shot TIE Fighters (plus TIE Shuttle with Snap Shot) so this is a different take.

I've flown them a couple of times and I have found them fragile even with LWF. Then again I need to fly treat them as flankers rather than jousters!

I like your list 1, but think it could be much better. On low PS ships Long Range Scanners is so much better than Guidance chips and that also means you do not need dead-eye or to make the bombers Gamma Veterans, but can just use Scimitars. That means 4 points saved on each bomber. With this you can put Cluster Mines, Connor nets or Thermal Detonators on each bomber. This should discourage your opponent from flying into range 1 of your bombers, which leaves no good range to be at for your opponents ships. I might also change Operation Specialist on Jonas for Light weight Frame and VI for better protection, because he probably will be the prime target for your opponent. He definitely would be if I flew against it.

List 2 is in my opinion boring to fly. Its the old TLT Y-wing list imperial-version with an Inquisitor twist. My advice would be not to bring it to any game, because its not just boring to fly, it is also boring to fly against.

Reguarding your Decimator list I would definitely change Operations specialist to Kylo Ren on Rear Admiral Chiraneau and put the Dauntless title on, so he can use even if blocked. Thats so much better. I might also take another wingman for him or drop VI and Twin Engine.

List 4 looks good to me.

I like your list 5 best. I think it will be both effective and fun to play and I think. I think, I want to try it out myself :)

Thanks for your input. I'm still playing around with list 1. Right now I only have 4 Tie Bombers and really don't plan to buy anymore. Two of the four Bombers are from Imperial Veterans.

Yeah, TLT is boring. I went with it to give folks for a variety of lists to fly against.

Yeah, I was thinking Kylo might help out. Though Operation Spec can do well with Rexler and I agree their are better ace pairings then Rexler with Chiraneau. Though I went with Rexler for something different and the potential of extra damage.

I've been running a RAC/Ace list for a while (RAC/QD is my current flavor of the month), and here's a few things that I would bring up with your list.

The crew you have there is a bit questionable. Ops spec doesn't serve a lot of purpose unless you're planning on and expecting to miss every turn; same for Gunner. That has been the case in maybe one out of 20 or more games from my experience. Kylo, with or without Palp, is a monster on a deci. I have found that you're using his ability just about every round until the game is over, so engine upgrade might be worth replacing with something more passive like antipursuit lasers, ion projector or countermeasures if you end up trying that route.

Next, whatever you pair with him needs to be flown as a flanker and not a side by side jouster. They tend to get focused a lot during the initial pass when possible, so something durable is not a bad idea. I've run Rexlar with juke/x-7/TIE mk. II and had good results with it, if you didn't want to adjust your list a whole lot. Use TL actions early when theres shields floating around and focus when you're ready to deal damage cards or need that extra defensive token. Whatever ace you bring along, practice flying that thing through the middle of the map/asteroids and figure out how to set up a nice pincer and recovery moves the following round.

It's a scary powerful list and pretty **** consistent with it's results. It takes some practice, and a good eye for flying around obstacles, but you really get your returns on this one.
