THE Academy. It didn't sound like an Imperial institution, more like an ancient school for training pilots for regional security forces, merchant marines, and hot shot bush pilots who want real jobs. The Empire probably recruits heavily from THE Academy tho.

The Academy was just called that, doesn't make it less of an imperial facility.

Totally looks like an imperial cadet uniform. Biggs rocking the stache and the cape long before Lando.

Don't think "The Rebel Alliance Academy"... is something people would talk about in open conversation..... Biggs, Wedge, Hobbie even Han... Whole host of pilots went to and dropped out of the Imperial Academy...
