Wave 14 material right here, or the missing #71!

No. You are not the only one who wants this.
However, on a comparable topic ("fixing" the HWK), does anyone think giving the HWK a title that gives it a system slot while allowing it to still take another title would break the ship in any appreciable way? About the worst thing I can think of is Adv. Sensors and Engine Upgrade on Jan to allow her to stay close enough to ships to give her buff to, or maybe TLT or Autoblaster with Accuracy Corrector, but it's not like that breaks the Ghost (or Nym. His brokeneness comes from another place entirely).
Also, the dial needs to change completely. It's almost they were designing the HWK as a large ship based on debunked size stats, but then LFL told them the correct size, and they downsized it and shrank the hull and shields, but forgot to fix the dial.

The hwk is fine, its pilots are great and plenty viable.
Why the **** do we need to "fix" everything.

Going off of the Wookieepedia article, The Raven's Claw armaments appear to be a couple of laser cannons (standard guns) and some torpedo launchers, so fluffwise, the cannon slot doesn't make a lot of sense. It would also be trying to make it work double duty as a jousting support ship, which will drive up the price, which isn't a good thing.
With the dial, discussion with others in the thread I linked to lead to the idea that it should be fast, but not so good at slower speeds or turning. Hence my above suggestion of a modified Defender dial. While a modded K-fighter dial would be more versatile, I think the more complete 3 maneuver set and emphasize on going fast is a more interesting option.
Edited by SabineKeyBetter wording.

Because while game wise it works, FFG royally messed up on its dial, ignoring its actual stated speed and agility to give us a very poor dial.
Forgive us for wanting the ship to be as cool as it should be.

Kyle Katarn with Moldy Crow and Recon Specialist is 27 points with no turret or EPT. Just to make his shtick work effectively, costs 27 points. Any investment in a turret or EPT puts you over the 30 point mark. TLT, pulsed ray shield (maybe) and something like snap shot puts you at or over 35 points. Over a third of your squad.
Ahsoka with VI, Recon Specialist, Sabine's Masterpiece, Captured TIE and an illicit of your choice is 24-26 points depending on your illicit (and let's be honest, 25 at the most since you aren't likely to take hotshot blaster). A quarter of your squad that can't even be shot at by the majority of pilots in the game.
Given the choice, I would take Ahsoka any day of the week. Her ability requires closer range, but it's more flexible, can be fit into more squads, and is oddly enough more survivable than a HWK. Plus she has a TIE fighter and as a result one of the best dials in the game. She can stay in range one at times more easily than Kyle can stay at Range 3.
Sure, the Scum pilots are good (plus they get illicit), but the ship itself needs some love. It's not in the worst place, which is why I even used "fix" in quotation marks.
But, I mean, just LOOK at that dial. I love the ship, I loved the dark forces games, I love Kyle and Jan, but every time I've flown the ship it's been "well, guess I'm doing 2s pretty much all game."
The Y-Wing has a better dial than the HWK. Let that sink in.

I should have done more spec research, and I really like the defender dial idea

Eh, while fluff research is good for guidelines, it is sometimes good to just go with your gut on something. I wouldn't mind a Cannon slot myself, but I keep seeing high cost support ships that don't give enough bang for their buck. Then we have the Phantom II come out, which I have a feeling is gonna prove to be one of the best support ships due to its low cost.

If I can make it work, Ahsoka and a Phantom 2 may replace Biggs as the usual accompaniment to the Ghost. Kanan with a focus and 2 evades (Jan/Rec Spec plus coordinate for another evade) might be pretty **** tanky.
Edit: that's gonna be hard to work out...

That's true love ![]()
Personally, not to derail the thread (but oh well), I would really like the Slave II. Ironically, it is the ONLY ship from the original source material not introduced into the game:

Yeah, but it sounds fun. Good luck with it!

I'd be in favor of the Slave II.

Oh yeah, fun ship, I made a model of it once, can't remember if it was for EAW or one of my failed FS2 mod submissions
Don't let this thread be forgotten! Ravens Claw!
Now a subject I've considered before that I would like more input on is the Raven's Claw base model. It does not have an official model nor even an official manufacturer (going off Wookieepedia). This can easily rectified by making it part of the HWK line and giving it a number ( @MandoBard's HWK-920, for example). But, this could also indicate that the Raven's Claw is a custom ship, thus unique.
The former option means that we get at least one generic (New Repulic Courier), and three unique pilots (Jan and Kyle again, with the third probably being Kyle's apprentice Jaden Korr. The latter would mean all unique pilots, with the generic probably turning into Kyle's other apprentice, Rosh.
The question is, which would you prefer? At first, I liked the all unique option, but that was a while back when there were only one or two ships that did that. Now there are more unique only ships, so the novalty is lessened. Plus if it has a generic, it could help better differentiate it with the upcoming Phantom II.
Anyway, what do others think?

I would make the ship itself unique, as in on the card it shows the unique dot before Raven's Claw.

So only ever one? Might work.
