Some Kind of Boost to Primary front arc weapons

I think the problem is simply ships that don't have anything special about how they attack. Ships that just shoot primary weapons out of the standard primary firing arc are getting pretty rare. This by itself isn't a problem except that at its core X-wing is a dog-fighting game. The greatness of the game is how well this is played out in the rules. And I have no problem with other kinds of attacks existing in the game, but they are now so dominant that we don't see much actual dogfighting.

This is the problem, and it's been a gradual slide that has changed the game drastically. Either it continues, a radical change takes place or we start fresh (2nd edition I guess), which would be the ultimate radical change. Do we abandon the concept of dog fighting starships in a deathmatch and see what direction FFG goes in, or do try to go back to the 'good ol days'?

Eh, I'll just be happy with missions and campaigns, of which there are many created by fans.

A thousand times this. There needs to be composition rules or something.

"Only 1 large ship or bomber per squadron" or the like. I know that's not a fix all, but I can't imagine too many people were drawn to X-Wing to play minesweeper. I wasn't anyway.

Ehhh. I'd only want army composition rules IF the points limits increased. And even then, I doubt any would stop the big boogymen lists.

Expose?

Auto damage should be either removed in it's entirety, or severely limited. But no ship should be allowed to die to auto damage, the last point of damage should require failing an agility roll. That alone would bring TIEs back to the table.

Which ships were these? Y-wings, the first turrets, had 5 hull 3 shields. The Falcon was next as the first PWT, and it has way more hp. I mean ???

Well I started off flying turrets on HWKs which don't have the hull and shields of a Y wing. 4 and 1.

And, honestly, I'd rather have palp arc locked (to the ship he's modifying, not the ship he's on) than having to guess when to blow his ability.

I could live with that change and find it much better than the "fix" they implemented. This guy manipulated an entire galactic political structure and I believe as a power could see the future. Granted future sight isn't perfect for light or dark but it is adequate to not have to guess if your power is needed. Nice alt rule FGD.

Make Outmaneuver a standard rule of the game, rather than a paid-for upgrade...
