allies in trophy hunting

By fabiofotomoto, in Imperial Assault Campaign

hello

in this mission the rebels can carry as allies a scum. Is the scum cost gained as threat by the imperial? can the rebels take a previous gained rebel allies?

thanks

The imperial player does not get threat for allies given by the mission.

In Trophy Hunting, Special Setup is explicit that the rebels need to choose a mercenary-affiliation villain. The rebels do not know they'll have the figure they chose as an ally later in the mission. Thus, it is impossible for the figure to count towards their ally limit.

Even when a mission provides allies during setup (which Trophy Hunting doesn't really do), the rebels can choose to take a (different) ally they have won to the mission, unless it is explicitly forbidden. (There are a few missions which state that the rebels cannot take allies.)

Thanks

I really liked how this essentially made the Rebels team up with a bounty hunter. Now, though, there's the awkward possible pairing with Maul.

I don't think it matters too much, though. I'd imagine most Rebels will revel in taking the most expensive hero possible (Iggy or Fett).

When I played this as rebels I was afraid that the imperial side would at some point get threat commensurate with the cost of the ally, or that the ally would eventually turn on me. As a result I took Greedo.

Spoiler alert:

This was a poor choice.

as campaign iggy and fett are, IMO, garbage, I told my rebels to take bossk. dude hits like a truck and is pretty durable.

Ahhh, I can see how someone could make that mistake. Between Greedo and the likes of Iggy, it does seem like this mission could have wonky balance (though I'm sure it's probably more balanced on the side of Iggy).

Honestly, that's probably not a bad choice. Bossk is much better balanced, and I think that Fett or Iggy would be more reasonably cost around him.
