Did I imagine this rule?

By penpenpen, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I have the distinct memory of reading a rule that capital ships count their silhouette as one point less when firing lighter weapons such as laser and blaster cannons, but I cant for the life of me find it now. Did I just dream it up, or is it someone's house rule I just remeber as official?

I remember it as well, specifically in reference to point defense lasers. If i recall correctly, it was a rule appended to certain ships, not a universal one.

Wonderful, then I'm not delusional. Any idea where you saw it?

It's a sidebar on page 267 of Edge of the Empire core book.

This rule was a thing back when we only had the EotE core rules. Then, when AoR came out it added three new options for large ships shooting at smaller ships, and those options replaced the "one silhouette smaller"-thing from EotE.

Gonna have to say, nowhere I've read says anything about the AoR actions replacing anything. Of the actions, one hinders starfighters only if the fighters attack the capital ship, one could be used against a formation of fighters but doesn't make it any easier to hit them, and the last one can't target fighters at all.

Its a talent.

Like tricky driving or something.

Evasive target

While Tricky Target does work on Capital Ships (go figure), that's only for being shot at and doesn't effect shooting from the target.
