Going through some of the old WEG games, I'm thinking about converting "Battle for the Golden Sun" into FFG and running it for my group, which includes two Force users. Both have basic lightsabres, and are naturally looking for crystals to upgrade them.
One thing I'm considering is modifying the ending of the adventure slightly. When the Golden Sun blows itself apart to "mind meld" with the planet and the Sedrians, I was thinking of it gifting a portion of itself to one of the Jedi-wannabes, to be used as a kyber crystal. While not quite sentient, the shard of Golden Sun would be unique. I was thinking it probably would have some sort of healing properties, and perhaps help with defence, rather than causing harm. Perhaps swap out "Vicious" for a bonus Light-Side Pip when using Heal? Or a slight reduction in Strain cost for Reflect or Parry?
I'd welcome any input.
