Can you put an attachment with a skill modifier on a unit with a (-) for its skill?
Matsu berserker with ornate fan?
I believe you can attach it to them, of course their stat will still be (-)
but like - say Magnificent Kimono - you could definitely play this on a (-) POL character to utilize the Pride trait.
Edited by shosukoOn the same topic of a (-) skill. If I play outwit can I use it on a unit with a (-) since it has none it's lower than mine?
@Suka044 I think so because "if a skill value for a dash character is required to resolve a card ability, treat the card as if it had an unmodifiable skill value of 0."

Yes you can. The Dash skill does protect them from being moved to a conflict of that stat, and they cannot be challenged to a duel of that stat - but any comparison such as Rout / Outwit are fair game, Lion Pride Brawler, ect as Manchu said - for comparisons the (-) stat counts as a 0.

It is counted as a 0. So if you have a courtier with 1 pol skill or higher, yes.
Wait, so you can use attachments to negate the personalities' dash?
No, it doesn't negate the dash. The dash is treated as if it were a 0 for resolving card abilities.
Okay. Something about how the discussion went confused me. I thought I had missed something earth shattering
You can attach an attachment to any Character as long as they meet the requirements. Can only attach to a Bushi, attach to a Shugenja for example.
