Ok how those 2 interact? Since Feint is worded

Since its worded Then, and not After will maz have time to trigger before second part of Feint triggers?

Maz's ability will still trigger, but not until after her dice are removed from the pool. You first have to do everything on the card Feint, then Maz's ability will take place.

Our group has already been looking at ways to abuse Feint. With FFGs lack of play testing there has to be some unforeseen interaction there. Maz was naturally where we gravitated to first, but came to the same conclusion as above, her dice are removed before She gets to resolve, but she still gets to resolve two dice.

Another interesting interaction is all the 'if a die rolls this symbol' supports. They would trigger even if the die was removed by Feint.

And perhaps the best thing about Feint is they've now opened the possibility to ambush any character activation (in conjunction with Swiftness). That used to be much more restrictive, but now possible for any character if you have red access. There's some trickiness there and will be more as they create more character abilities.

What about Fast Hands? Can you trigger it?

Fast Hands is also an after effect. After effects are added to the queue behind anything already in queue. So, the Feint would need to fully resolve before Fast Hands could.

Before activation effects would interrupt and work if they ever make one that does. There isn't one existing that interacts with this yet though (that I know of).

So far Sabine and Chance Cube are the only cards that interrupt activations, and of course the latter would be detrimental to do so.

Forgot about that. Sabine w/ Thermal Paint is a great Feint target.

So you could resolve a ranged damage and special dice for another character and anything for Fast Hands would be out?

• Feint + New Kylo + 2xHate = 8 damage (at best) per turn without using any dice!
• Thrawn + Feint is also a big thing with milling hand.
• I belive you can use Feint to add ID9 droid to the pool from Seventh Sister ability. It will stay in pool since it's neither her character nor upgrade die. Same with Krennic and Deathtrooper die.
• General Rieekan can mill opponent's deck with Feint too.
• Jabba / Luke / Vader / Bossk / Maz / New Rey - you can gain some benefit from Feint here too

With Krennic and 7thSister I guess the additional DeathTrooper/Droid die will stay in the pool after readying the character.

And with Krennic, sure, that's nice, but with Seventh Sister, every additional ID9 is a huge benefit. Quite the awesome combo there.

I'm just imagining how many dice you can get out in one turn. Two feints, leadership, and who knows what else. This could get crazy.

Sorry all that I am a little slow on the uptake here, but can we have a better explanation of this cards ability? Here is how I understand it but feel wrong given the conversations.

For example, let's say I am running an eBazine, and I play Feint. According to the first part "Activate one of your characters", I tap Bazine, roll out her 2 dice and the 1 die from Vibroknife I have on her. Then the 2nd part says, "Then you may remove all of its character and upgrade dice to ready it.". OK, here is where I am confused -- I remove all of her dice but I get to RESOLVE them right then, if possible? Then I get to untap her, ready to be activated again. OR, are we saying, I rolled out Bazine and knife, at some point I was able to resolve 1 of her dice and the vibro die. THEN, on a later turn, I play Feint, and remove the last Bazine character die from the pool and then ready her to activate again?

Actually neither of those.

You don't get to resolve any dice after activating her, to use Feint's ability, the dice must be returned immediately as if you'd never rolled her in.

You can't trigger Feint on a character who's already been activated on an earlier turn.

Feint only exists for the sole purpose of triggering abilities that happen as soon as you roll a character in. The list of things that work with this are shown here:

FFG's wording has confused many a people.

So how exactly would "Ambush" work with this? I'm thinking how Sabine abuses Ambush weapons, so you Feint her in slapping a Holdout or (ideally) a DL-44 on her, you'd have to remove all the dice from the pool as per Feint's requirements and then you could utilize the second action?

-Feint, activating Sabine

-Activating Sabine triggers her ability to play a weapon from your discard pile onto her

-Play DL-44 from pile onto Sabine, giving you Ambush

-Remove all dice from the pool as per Feint's requirements

-You may now take your Ambush action

Is that how it would work? Because if the Ambush would interrupt the Feint, that would be nasty. Even if it's not and you already have the DL-44 loop set up, you'd get to immediately mitigate two dice if you used your Ambush action to roll her back in overwriting the current DL-44 for a second one, AND resolve a die.

Ambush would take effect after Feint resolved. You can then use the Ambush action to activate Sabine for real, do her ability again, play the other DL-44 from discard, remove another die, and still get another action. It's dumb.

Perhaps the "fix" people have been wanting revolving around action cheating should be the Ambush keyword being a one-off thing per turn.

edit: Couldnt you still trigger Maz's ability after Feint has readied her though? She still "activated" - though obviously the dice she resolves cannot be her own (minimal use unless you have a wide spread of die faces already)

You may indeed resolve 2 of your dice as her ability is still in the queue just, as you mentioned, her dice will no longer be in the pool when you get to her ability so it has limited use.
