This looks like an "one man Lambda" and miss the 5 wing (star wing) part. I guess the Gunboat has nothing to do with it.

They are different ships made by Cygnus Spaceworks.

They are both very cute and fun in tiny LEGO form, so I see the similarity. They are definitely different ships though.

Some of those eventually gained RPG stats as I certainly remember that "interceptor" on the bottom row from the DarkStryder campaign. Some of them maybe aren't terrible (at least with Star Wars in mind) although others are clearly meant to borrow heavily from other, much more recognizable, things.

Several of those are clearly miniature versions of larger craft, but some of them I can't even imagine what a full size version could possibly look like or how it would function. The Interceptor with a huge, drooping mustache? The CAP-2 (?) apparently holding onto a guy (prisoner?) in some sort of claw thing?

I also like how the names vary between incredibly descriptive (Endor Forest Ranger, Desert Sail Skiff) and lettered designations that give absolutely no clue as to their purpose unless you're already familiar with the nomenclature ( "No, Dad! I wanted the MTV-7, not the MLC-3!" )

actually I loved all those goofy minirigs, they were a lot of fun. Not ever Hoth Trooper could have a Taun Taun so they have had to make do with a MLC (or mobile laser Cannon). ISP-6, you can be a prototype GUNBOAT if you want to, I don't mind.

Yeah I really like that they were probably dumb things like PDT-8 stands for Protocol Droid Transport.... like anything like that would actually exist... yes this is the 8th version of our speeder line designed specifically to relocate protocol droids.

The ATL- interceptor was actually an original design, and a ship I really wouldn't mind making an appearance in xwing (obviously in the minority on this one).

At one point, if memory serves me right, it was pegged to be a ship that defended the Death Star, but eventually made its way into being a rebel ship in the DROIDS cartoon and in other legends material.
