I've been looking for a confirmation for a particular C3PO question and the research I've done has led me to believe that my conclusions are correct, but I'd like to confirm with this knowledgeable community.

C3POs action allows me to change the symbol to another symbol, but does that symbol need to be on the die or can I change it to anything I want? So can I change my Launch Bay showing an X ranged to an X melee, which allows me to resolve that and bypass shields because vibroknife is in my dice pool, even though launch bay doesn't have a melee side?

It doesnt say it has to be on the die, so it hasnt need to.

Yeah, it can be literally any symbol. You could also resolve the Launch Bay for five resources, or resolve it for five focus to change a ton of other dice to sides showing damage.

The special would need to be on the die to resolve it. A cool little combo is a blank counts as zero as do specials. So with a rocket launcher when it rolls a blank you get to C3P0 it, using the special and don't have to pay a resource if it lands on the blank. Cuz the blank doesn't have a resource cost.

Technically i'm not sure about that. IMO you can still change it to special and resolve that but if a card has no native special its just not doing anything. Its border case but there are few cards that do something when you resolve a special if i recall correct.

Or even if you want to get a blank out of your pool because of something like it will all be mine or Chewy's special, that's another advantage.

He is an auto include for any red Hero deck for sure.

Not always, he is a bit on the slow side. Maybe after the 14th?
