After looking at the US nationals meta I decided that a high health two ship list might not be bad for Imperials, after all, my triple aces keep getting wrecked by all these dang bombs. So I decided to combine RACLO with something other than Vader or Quickdraw. I've never flown a Firespray before, but I recently picked one up and want to try this build. Thoughts?

I know this leaves no room for initiative bid, but with two PS 10's and Kylo, I figure I can drop any VI Nym's down to PS 0 within a round or two of combat. After that I should be free to use EU and Boba's ability to try and choose my engagements as much as possible.

It's an interesting idea. RAC without the title is hard because he definitely bumps alot. I like the 2 High HP ship idea. I have a RAC/upsilon build for the same reason. The firespray is definitely more maneuverable than the ups. People don't like the imperial firespray because the pilot abilities stink for how expensive of a ship it is. That's the biggest issue. You can load up RAC when he has a cheaper wingman.

I have tried this several times actually.

It straight MURDERS....Miranda / Nym.

I prefer this version, Expertise makes the Firespray a lot scarier offensively since you can "fly" away when necessary and Target Lock reliably.

As always RAC is an arc dodger. #NeverBumpWithRAC

Hmmm... I do like expertise, but Kath's pilot ability (even if paired with mangler) is just garbage. I just feel that with expertise and mangler, her ability would practically never trigger. Part of my reason for Boba was his ability to get to PS 10. I love expertise, but Kath is better off as a Scum pilot.

PS10 is "ok" on Boba but it becomes a "roll natties" or die routine without Expertise since he has such terrible native action economy.

And realistically with Kylo on the table all you have to do is push through an early game PS0 to make the PS irrelevant anyways.

This combo gets tabled by anything other than 2 ship low agility builds either way.
