Darkside Special

I flew this last night and really enjoyed how powerful this list is. SKBP was throwing crazy good dice so I'm sure the result was atypical. I never got to show anyone my darkside. :-(

At 99 points, I won the initiative bid for ps9.

I am considering dropping Kylo, and picking up title for some stress control and FCS for modded shots. But that puts me at 100. Hmm First Order problems.

BD is PS8, puts you at 100, and QD and BD may lose a little indepenence, but...an option

I like Draw Their Fire in the list. Upsilon shuttles just make such tempting first targets, and taking a bit of heat off with DTF makes a lot of sense.

If you want to keep Kylo, I'd first cut Elite upgrades (as much as I do like DTF). Going to A Score To Settle on QD (free double mods, and a source of ISYTDS crits) and keeping VI on BD, or dropping VI on BD for Trick Shot or Adaptability, and going to VI or Adaptability on QD. If you can't keep a bid, PS7 on BD won't matter as much and there's an upside to getting PS11 on QD.

If you keep Kylo, definitely change DTF to ASTS. Pushing crits thru is key to using Kylo. I'm not a fan of DTF on quickdraw because you guarantee he's the ship your opponent targets first. I also like keeping the upsilon light on points. But pattern analyzer is something to consider because you're going to stop at some point in almost every game. I like VI on backdraft, but with how prevalent Nym has become, I don't know how big of a difference it will make. It depends, but it will let you move both you're SF's at the same time, which can be huge.

I think that because Kylo is an action at range 1-3 it's very similar to get a TL. Being PS 2 presents some challenges in the beginning turns to show someone your darkside.

But, I kind of want to keep old Kylo there ... you know, for darkside showing and all.

It's great when it works, but keeping the same target in arc turn after turn isn't actually that easy! (the title does help!)

I might consider Pattern Analyser instead, allowing you to still get actions when executing a stop or tight turn - which can be a target lock, or can be a co-ordinate action to one of your aces.
