Every Friday night starting around 6:00 PM, Duelists can unite to play practice games, learn new games, and even participate in tournaments. The current hot games being played are Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game, Android: Netrunner, Game of Thrones: The Card Game, and Star Wars: The Card Game. Other dueling card games may make it to the table from time to time, my other favorites being Ashes, CODEX, and Exceed. But, the main focus of these meetups will be the LCGs from FFG. Whether you're a seasoned pro-duelist or a newbie looking to learning a new game, this is the place to be on a Friday night!
"Legend has it that in the years of our lord, the early 2010s, a ragtag group of cardboard shuffling, sharp minded individuals came together to test their might and their wits in games focused on skill, not collectibility. These games were known as LCGs, the card games whose very essence were derived from life itself! After many nights of Friday, through training and study alike, these individuals would face-off in the most epic of duels, testing their abilities against each other! Yet, despite these grand battles, as time passed and the grit of life and love became ever more present, the duels began to dwindle. Eventually, the War of Cardboard would seize and the duelists disappeared back into the world.
But now, in the year of our lord, 2017, the great god of the living card game, the bringer of the eternal shuffle through their flights of fantasy, have given rebirth to an old legend. After searching through the lands of Rokugan, the god known as Eff Eff Gee has gathered the five elemental rings together, thus bringing together a once broken community to reenter the fray of the dueling arena. Not to be out done by the Five Rings and their legends, warriors from other worlds are reappearing to fight in the War of Cardboard. Those who fought for the Iron Throne; those who battled amongst the stars; and those who ran nets from New Angeles and beyond. The war never truly ended and the eternal warriors known as the Cardboard Duelists never truly stopped fighting. The battles have begun again! The duels shall continue on!"
