Anyone have a cool name for counter or anti-slicers, specifically in the service of the Empire? I don't want to just call them Slicers because I want that term to be a criminal term. I was thinking along the lines of a Fuser as it kind of sounds like the opposite of Slicer. I could use a few of these so if you have any suggestions I would love to hear them. Thank you for any help

Splicer maybe, like in joining a rope by weaving the broken strands together? But it might be to similar to slicer.

Imperial Counter Espionage unit.

You could call them cubes and other slicers would know what you meant.

I'm actually playing an Imperial contract slicer, and after reading about how much emphasis is put on signatures, I figure while you might call minions of that group 'ICE cubes' or whatever, your rivals will probably have a little cred in the slicer community, and a nemesis might be infamous and have a special code name that other slicers revere.

My character's code name is DarkFalls.

Fuser sounds good.

Burner might also work if they have a reputation for destroying slicers (metaphorically or in truth, via biofeedback like you find in Shadowrun). Burner fits well with a firewall.... just make the firewall exactly what it sounds like.

Icer, the same, but the "fire" in this case would be the slicer. Fits well with the concept and Geodes' suggestion.
