@flightmaster101 But abilities in this game don't have names, so it wouldn't be called Poison Shot or anything, unless it was an upgrade card.

And to the comment about not being able to rally away conditions, that could be a line on the poison condition, making it act more like a bane.

Fair, but we know from context that Kari's ability is throwing daggers. So even if we don't have a name the mechanical function of the ability would be the action of poison.

I'm trying to fathom how devastating it would be if their 'poison' stacked immobilize.... That would be tough.

That would be interesting. My main point is we have so many vehicles already in the game that could thematically and mechanically act like poison, so from my perspective adding another bane with rules that only come in uthuk boxes would be an unnecessary complication of the game.

Aha! So you're a Latari elitist, Mr. overgrowth tokens. ;)

THOSE ARE NECESSARY AND ONLY ADD TO THE FLAVOR OF THE GAME!!!!!!

I feel like the best way they could do Viper legion would be to have them spend a special surge to reduce armor for an attack. Maybe apply blight or immobilize.

This is my thought. Unique surge that -armor. Useless against infantry but potent against pretty much everything else. It's like a unique use duskblade.

Latari don't put them on other units.

In a broader sense this is also something that could've either been added in the core or accomplished using core set tokens and mechanics. Like using objective tokens to mark overgrowth or something.

Elves are special

I just don't see what's disagreeable about adding a faction-specific bane/condition/token/effect. It's one more way ro differentiate factions and I see that as a plus.

Waiqar have Blight, the precedent is there.

as do elves, so precedent was imaginary.

There is one single non-Waiqar card that gives Blight, and it doesn't even generate blight, it just moves the token around. Blight is a Waiqar faction mechanic.

One single item is all it takes to invalid your claim, unfortunately. Faction focus yes, but mechanism, no.

Don't know if it was intended but you seem very aggressive about this.

No, nonchalant more like. Just the facts.

That may be your intent and may be how it sounds at your end, but TBH, it does come off in text at this end as aggressive/rude.

Communication through text is always frought as such, we communicate a large deal with our bodies and tone. While just the facts approaches are often interpreted as terse by those trying to skirt facts, they are a black and white issue, and can be written as such.

It is fair to say we have little to no information about where devs plan to take us. Not enough data points, any assumptions we make are largely grasping in this currently underdeveloped game. We need to not focus on our first impressions too hard, even though they are all we have, as we do not possess the big picture.

Often times it's based on the emotional state you are in when the comment is read. Everything on the internet needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

Except aliens, that S#!+ is real. ;)

In a game with no Waiqar, you will never see a single blight token.

Speed edit: I guess you could use the Waiqar terrain in a non-Waiqar army, don't think there's any rule against that. Regardless, it's Waiqar terrain and only Waiqar terrain that gives blight.
