Tie Silencer Dial

By Boom Owl, in X-Wing

Thinking about the dial more, there are a few categories I think it could fall into that, and whichever category it is in will do a lot to determine it's true power. I expect a very strong dial at the point cost listed.

Category 1: SF-like dial. This seems less likely, because a 2-hard green would be weird to pair with other red hard turns, especially on a ship this expensive. If it is close to the SF, I think this ship will be a struggle, or it will need some tech not currently available.

Category 2: FO-like dial. This is what I consider to be the base level of dial for this ship that wouldn't be a disappointment. I expect slight variation, like maybe 3 speed S-loops instead of 2.

Category 3: FO+. This is where I start getting really interested. The "+" will potentially have a lot of effect on what makes a good Silencer build. Extra green moves make the Advanced Sensors/PTL version even better, whereas a 1-bank/straight gives it a better time on target, notably better for FCS. White K-turn and/or S-loop would be great for everyone.

@Biophysical

White Sloops would be fantastic.

Especially if they were 4 Speed :)

FO+ is where I think the ship needs to be for it to be worth the points. That means FO with green 4-forward and perhaps 1-banks. A white/green sloop would be pretty swell also.

Yeah. "FO tier" means it's used by enthusiasts. "FO+" depending on the "+" means it sees more widespread use.

Provided Kylo's entire dial is Green putting him FO++++++ territory I will be running this with a 13 pt bid. :)

I want to see the dial that can fit all of those moves.

That's actually only half the dial. It's got all those same moves again, but in reverse.

I don't think we'll see it with any white K-turns or S-loops considering it has access to pattern analyser/primed thrusters and advanced sensors. I think it will be very similar to the tie/FO dial, however I would like it to possibly be combo of the fang's and the FO's dials, with a 2 talon-roll and a 3 S-loop, but with no K-turns. It would be a tightly packed dial but considering the blurb the ship has on SW databank I could see this being the most manoeuvrable ship to date.

I'm really, really hoping for something like a hybrid between the FO and the Advanced., if not better. Ideal would be all the standard moves in green, plus some white turnarounds, but that seems like a pipe dream really.

So maybe 1 turn and 3 turn white, all banks green, 2 turns green, a white K and 3 sloops, red 2 trolls or something?

Heck, it could have some kind of shiny new manoeuvre in we don't know about given that it's a boxed expansion so it won't necessarily come with ref cards for new rules.

It's going to have to have an OUTSTANDING dial to be worth more or less half a list. I mean, the base price for Kylo is only 2 to 3 points less than you have free on a current-standard RAC, and that's the obvious wingman - and he's going to be too expensive to ride wingman to a standard howl/black crack miniswarm. He's also not goign to fit in with the Empire's other two currently-useful PS9 aces.
