Clawdite Shapeshifter First Impressions (Partial Elite Version Reveal!)

By brettpkelly, in Imperial Assault Skirmish

If you have 3 Clawdites and each has one of the forms, at the start of a round can you switch the forms amongst themselves? Or do you resolve each figure's ability one at a time, when none of the other 2 forms are available, so that this is impossible?

You can swap with the Forms 'in the air'.

(Someone can try a mathematical proof that there exists an order of swaps that can reach any desired end permutation. Note that you can swap with a Form in the supply as well as a form on another Clawdite.)

Ah, I didn't realize you could switch forms with an existing Clawdite. So it does work because every permutation can be written as a product of transpositions.

Let (A1, A2, A3) be the permutation that sends A1 -> A2, A2 -> A3, and A3 -> A1. Then (A1, A2, A3) = (A1, A2) * (A2, A3).

I agree with a1bert. If top skill explicitly lets you take form card FROM THE SUPPLY, and the bottom one lets you switch with ANY form card, it would apear, that you can choose the card either from the supply or from another clawdite.

Am I missing something? Why are there 4 Clawdite models in the box, but only 3 deployment cards?

There is one bonus Clawdite figure to dress up as a Senator.
