3D printed hangars to contain ships

By Autosketch, in X-Wing

Is this going anywhere citrus or did the spark die out? I've had that happen on a few creative projects.

I thought about taking this on myself, but I don't know the height of the ship bases. I don't have a micrometer measurement stick to try getting those dimensions.

double post..

All of your work is amazing, but this Viper made my heart smile.

Ha Ha Thanks Odanan,

it was a lot of fun to build.

All the best,

Barry.

Use heat resistant resin if you live where it's warm. I had some 3D printed boxes to store my ships that melted in the heat. I had to cut them out.

Nope, not at all, 3D modelling takes time. I've been working on this nonstop since the last post. I was doing the preliminary work in sketchup but i've now moved to Autodesk Inventor, which is a little bit of a learning curve but I think will result in higher quality modelling, and will be a little easier to make incremental adjustments on.

I'm working on it! ;)

Any news on this awesome idea?

It may not be a (2003) MK II, but it's a Viper nonetheless and that's awesome!
