Seriously, just stop, their is no need for you to force out so many ships and expansions in a single year. Not only are you producing material faster than you could ever test and balance it you are draining future potential from the game. I for one would love to see this game last for years to come, but that's never going to happen if you keep pushing this hard.
Slow Down FFG
But I needs my plastic crack!
FFG can see the writing on the wall. As soon as things die down after Ep. 9 and the last stand alone movie Disney is bound to drop the liscence. Might as well get the money while you can.
Also GUNBOAT so who cares about wave 13+
Edited by GrimmyVOh yeah, there is a gunboat coming out before this, and some scum multi pack... and... and...
It's because they're closing the book on X-Wing and want to milk our greens before they do..
The X-wing release schedule is actually pretty dang slow for a miniatures game.
And anybody who thinks Disney is going to let Star Wars go dormant is kidding themselves. Star Wars will never die now that the Mouse has it.
It does seem a bit fast, but I only have myself to blame - I am loving Runewars, and I'm feeling the sting of trying to support both games.

It may be slow compared to some miniature games, but those games usually include tons of power creep from unbalanced units in order to drive sales of new product. The first four waves of this game were well spaced and measured. Now they are just throwing everything out to market, and not even taking a look at what has caused issues in the past.
And no, Star Wars isn't going anywhere, but unless FFG addresses their strategy this game will be.
I'm not so worried about that, its that the Silencer is a $30 small base ship, and the bomber (and we DON'T need more bombers in the game) is $40.
Figure these two new ones were originally slotted to support a May 2017 release before the movie was pushed back.
I do wish they'd slow down a bit though.

That may be true, but most miniatures games have many more factions, and most players only collect one.

The last single-ship packs that FFG put out were in Wave 10, with the Upsilon and U-Wing back in February.
In their purchase paperwork sent to shareholders back in like 2014, Disney said that they foresee a 40 year life cycle for Star Wars product. That is, the original generation of kid/tween/teen OT fans will be in their late 80s/early 90s by then. I think we can stop the doom and gloom stories about the death of Star Wars any time soon.
Wasnt everyone just complaining there was no release on force friday?? Now theres too many releases . I personally am pretty excited for it
GUNBOAT! GUNBOAT GUNBOAT!!
wait, did someone say something? Oh look, a new TIE Fighter from the new movie, cool. Guess I gots to get it. What's that outboard motor thing in that article, looks like a Nebulon Jr. good thing it's not a TIE, or a GUNBOAT, I would have to purchase it then.
This is litterally the same release schedule we've had for the past two years. Of course, people complained about, "The fire hose," the last two years as well, so I'm not surprised some people are overwhelmed again.

I'm having a hard time being excited for the Bomber. Please, teach me your ways!
I am against this idea. I love new ships, I will buy every new expansion that comes out (for my faction).

Iam easily excited. Theres not a wave i havent liked and a wave i havent bought yet .
I think the bomber looks great. Its a different ship with a different play style and everyone speculates how good or bad it will be but we wont know till it hits the table so thats what excites me
There has been some bad ships, the u wing is pretty bad for competitive play but im epic it is a great support ship .
The bomber may be terrible in a tourny but i bet it will be a blast in epic or thematic play

Fair enough. I'm still not feeling the enthusiasm, but I am glad others are.
I was hoping that the Tie Silencer would be a large base ship with Agressor like stats. Oh well

I am personally looking forward to EP 15 myself in 2031.

We have loads of stuff in the pipe line so iam sure at least a couple are exciting you? I guess they will never be able to please everyone but i think they are doing a fairly good job . (Bar an updated FAQ)

I'm similar. I will buy every new expansion that comes out for my three factions.

I didn't mean I have no enthusiasm for future products. I'm very much looking forward to Guns For Hire. There is a lot of potential in Wave XII that I'm looking forward to seeing, particularly the Gunboat. And I'm hyped for the Silencer (though maybe a little worried about its price).
I guess part of the problem I have with the Bomber is I was hoping for the new A-Wing. The possibilities from an updated A-Wing were exciting to contemplate. But instead we get a ship who has a style that I wouldn't call bad, but it doesn't really excite my imagination. This might change after the movie comes out, but who knows.
like I said, I am glad other people are looking forward to the Resistance Bomber. But, sadly, I cannot count myself amoug them.

You are making the hugely erroneous assumption that Disney are going to stop producing Star Wars films.
they are not going to stop, ever. They will be pushing out product until it makes no money at all.
Expect to see an endless procession of terribly conceived prequels and the unwanted stories of fringe characters.
Expect a prequel trilogy of the third Jawa on the right, its trials, its tribulations, its marginal interaction with a Skywalker in passing.
And some contrived reason how it's pointless death saved Endor.
or something.
