I haven't seen any word of it since it was announced, and I don't find it on the 'upcoming products' page... is this map still going to be printed and released?
is the Nal Hutta Swamps skirmish map being produced?

right on - thank you!
Meanwhile, in Europe... ?
Up in Canada, I don't think I've ever bought one locally. It's either been at FFG at Worlds the last two times, or through online US retailers.
For Swamps, I actually bought it off of eBay for a super reasonable price, and picked up a second one for a meta-mate in the deal.
These things are always in short supply, and it's a huge pain in the butt. My advice to everyone looking for them is to keep that eBay search going, check Amazon regularly, and dog-ear a bunch of of the major online retailers to check stock regularly as well.
This licensing thing is such a bummer, as I actually like these mats quite a bit, and they're not terribly expensive. Now if they were more readily available, I'm sure that would make a lot of people happy.
It beats the heck out of putting a puzzle together every round.
In any case, it's a sore point up here as we don't seem to get them for sale locally until the map itself is well into its lifecycle.

Winter is coming.
Oh No's, we are going to be evaded by Canadian White Walkers who will come down and be all nice to us and mow our winter grass for us.
The real problem is these mats are kinda of a niche product. They are hard to find at local stores.
i do think that the mat problem up here in Canada is one of the reasons Armada sold out at Nationals and Imperial Assault isn't even at 20 ppl yet, that and a boring Hunter/Jedi Luke meta

The mats are printed on demand in house. They are always going to say 'backordered' in your LGS's system. Go ahead and order it and it will be printed for you.

I don't know how it is in the rest of the world, but in Toronto, in the past when these mats were "Now Available" to order, I got a lot of pushback and shoulder shrugging when I'd asked as a couple of stores. I've since been lucky to be at FFG for the last two IA Worlds and stocked up there, but the ones that came before that I had all found through some digging around online from US stores or eBay, and Swamps I managed to get on eBay recently.
The weird thing is that for all the hurdles I've had, EVENTUALLY they do show up here, long after my need for them has subsided, and they sit as dead inventory when the maps rotate, which might be why the stores are reluctant to order them immediately? But then why order them late when their value for Skirmish tournaments is declining daily?
got mine from gamenerdz online store. ordered it Monday and it arrived on TR. Used it yesterday actually!
If you're having trouble getting your hands on one of the official ones, its easy to have your own printed and shipped worldwide (for a very low cost) with this project that I work on:
All skirmish maps are available and PixArtPrinting even has a 20% off sale this week so you can get a number of maps for cheaper.

None of this helps at an official event, which is what I imagine the concern over availability has more to do with.
Outside of our Regional or National, everyone looks the other way on printed maps, but when you're planning to head out to something like a Premiere event, it'd be nice to have easy access to the official mats if you wanted to leave the puzzle pieces at home.
