Supplier for aryclic command dials

By Rhargar, in Runewars Miniatures Game

Hallo together, i'm looking for aryclic command dials. Is there anybody here, you can give me a link to a shop for these dials.

Cog o two was making them. Prepare your pocket book and be ready to paint em so your opponent doesn't tell you to cry off though.

Actually this is totally something that I'm prototyping at the moment. I've made myself some wooden Crossbowman dials and I love working with them. So putting this into acrylic will be super super easy. It's just coming down to getting the images all dialed in.

Considering the theme, wooden command dials sound even better! I guess you have to worry about humidity, though.

getting a good contrast on wood is very hard. also coloring it to read the activation order colors is much harder.

also personally I would not feel right essentially copying such a data ritch piece of content and selling it.

my approach would be to make very thematic engraved wood fronts that players would then add the circular printed dials to. a bit like the dial things FFG sells for. also much easier to design and stock.

This is a better approach overall in my opinion.

I did just notice that the dial back and front include very helpful game play information and unit identification. So perhaps it would still be neccisary to include some etched game play information on these dials? Maybe just provide areas for players to write in names and numbers?

i wonder what clever visual designs could be used to make the dials blend with the tables a bit better.

Perhaps decorate the dials as crumbling stone walls or a destroyed fence.

Maybe some spooky miasma for the undead. Oh or grave stones!

I wish this game was more popular so I could justify the time it would take to build and design these things. Then again it would be a great case study for 3d engraving.

When players start altering critical game pieces aesthetically, it tends to disrupt the flow of information and make the game less intuitive. Something to be very careful of in OP, as your opponent can request you don't use it if it is 3rd party.
