Pre-regirstation is now closed for worlds. As a Runeswar player I can't wait for the event as it'll be great fun. Good luck to everyone on selection tho I dunno, I'm kinda betting that everyone that put in an application to play will get in.

Yeah, I agree, the demand for Runewars is most certainly not as high as L5R or Thrones, but what is the capacity for the tournament at the Raddison? I've never been in there, but I imagine it's much smaller than the FFG event center

Having played at both, I wouldn't worry. There were a good 50 Armada players at the Raddison 2 years ago, and we still had room in the back for one of the GoT side events.

I do wonder if they'll use both spaces this time or if they'll just keep it over at FFG. Given that the Runewars day is Wednesday, I'd be surprised if we were over at the convention center.

Got my email just now. Woo-hoo!

I got mine. I keep forgetting to check how much time off I have left at work. Being on wed/thurs sucks. I'll need to take 3 days off, and I don't think I can afford to.

I got my email confirming that I'll be playing RuneWars.

...then another email confirming that I'll be playing Netrunner.

...then another email confirming that I'll be playing Legend of the Five Rings.

...and about an hour after that another email confirming that I'll be playing Game of Thrones.

Should be a very busy week! Looking forward to seeing you there!!

someday i will have to see one of these tournaments since i highly doubt there will ever be any local ones.

Amen. My chosen field happens to have its annual conference the Sunday of the World Championship, so it's a really bad time to leave work to play games. Sigh.

Well i only get 2 weeks worth of vacation off a year. Weekends dont count, so it feels like more than that, but anything happening tues-thurs really sucks for that.

And its always eaten up by family. I NEVER take my vacation off for myself and i have none of it...yet my parents constantly complain i never visit. Go figure.

True. It just makes for a lot of time away from the lab and my family. Maybe I can squeeze it in next year, but I'd probably choose GenCon instead.
