Help with tournament list

Hi, I am prepping for my first physical tournament (so far I only played vassal)

I decided to give the Rebel faction a try and this is what I came up with (I can draw from everything in wave one and two + a GR75 expansion [Two Fighter I expansions and two Raider expansions])

Any thoughts and hints would be appreciated.


Edit: thinking about kicking out extended hangar bay for boosted comms and kicking out Toryn Farr for Raymus Antilles.
Bottom line would be one point less (397), Yavaris gets to activate 3 squads each turn and the BCC can stay farther from trouble.

as a rule I allways put Toryn on a transport as she doesn't effect the ship she's riding in (for when you need to use Yavaris' anti-sq)

Toryn doesn't want to be on the Neb - not if you want help rerolling those blue anti-squad dice (you do). Yeah, the Neb is in the thick of it, but so should Bright Hope. Place here there.

Drop Dodonna's Pride. You don't want your admiral going all out offensive and getting killed early.

I'm missing stuff like Admonition, Flight Controllers and Fighter Coordination team. The last two for Yavaris - huge force multiplier there.

You have trouble activating all your squads in a meaningful manner. Placing Dodonna on the MC30 (with Admonition), then making the CR90B a second flotilla would greatly improve your game.

Okay I ordered a second GR 75

But I don't have Flight Controllers and Fighter Coordination team and don't want to buy an Intercdictor/Pelta right now

So here is what I changed.

One Question though, won't placing Dodonna on the MC30 be a bit point overkillon that ship? Why not place him on the CR90 A
I understand that the B would have been to much involved in combat but if one could keep the distance won't it be a good place for Dodonna`?

This is much better.

Donny can go on the CR90, it's legit. But the reason I put him on Admonition is because it's so much more defensible. Despite wanting to close, it doesn't stay in close. Movement, then strike, then fade. But it's up to you.

Flight Commander would help Yavaris a lot. But Raymus is solid too. Just don't overextend your squadrons. Roll then in close enough to your fleet you can command them.

If he goes on a CR90, I recommend Jaina's Light. It's two points for No, I Don't Care Where I'm Going, The Debris Field Still Blocks Your Shot. Admonition is also extremely difficult to kill without committing an enormous amount of force to the problem (for me it usually involves two turns of a bomber ball and an ISD to actually take the kill shot). Raymus is good since you don't have a spare flotilla for Comms Net. Otherwise, given what you're working with, that is a solid fleet. Just be careful about overextending your squadrons and getting alpha'd outside your ability to support with ASq fire from your own ships.

When you get to the tourney ask around and see if anyone has a spare flight commander card to borrow. If so, add coms net to toryn and flight commander to Yavaris and take off raymus. All in all it is better to keep Yavaris safe and it is easier to line up that Yavaris double tap when he can move into their forward position next to a ship rather than waiting a turn to catch up. A token squad token turn 1 and a nav token from coms net usually starts out yavaris in a pretty good situation, and as a couple fighters go down you can add more squad tokens to yavaris to make them hit harder.

Worth a shot I suppose although I have trouble picturing that. Guess I have to play around with it in Vassal a bit.

I got rid of Antilles for Veteran Captain, I replaced a Y-Wing I didn't really want with an X-Wing (more anti Squadron), and added a Comms Net to Toryn. To be honest I think I might need at least one comms net for the later game to pass tokens to Admonition (flew it of the map in the test game one nav token could have made all the difference here) or Yavaris.
Vet Cptn. allows me to bank a squadron token early on and get one if I need one and this is exactly the three points I want to replace, so I only need to switch a single card.

What tournament is this for?

Just a local small store tournament. We'll just be four players, three games.

I would drop the H9's down to Xi7's on the MC30, then with the two points saved there and the 2 points you already had left, you can put Lando on the MC30. Really ups survival and the Xi's are a solid choice all around.

(Hopefully you have access to both of those cards)

Sure do, and Lando found his way onto Admonition in a few iterations of the list. However, H9s on this thing are unbelievably effective. To be able to lock down tokens realiably, especially scatter and brace tokens, is just amazing.
I may be able to mitigate the lack of Lando by clever flying (insert short laugh here). Also I want to stay under 399, that should still give me initiative in few games. I could drop a fighter and go for a larger bid though.
