Fiction reading order

By Mon no Oni, in Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game

So, we have now 11 pieces of fiction.

01 - Her Father's Daughter (Crane Clan fiction)
02 - The Price of War (Lion Clan fiction)
03 - The Rising Wave (Dragon Clan fiction)
04 - Dark Hands of Heaven (Crab Clan fiction)
05 - Risen from the Flames (Phoenix Clan fiction)
06 - Curved Blades (Unicorn Clan Fiction)
07 - Smokeless Fire (Kiku Matsuri setup)
08 - The World, a Stage (Scorpion Clan fiction)
09 - A Most Suitable Teacher (Kiku Matsuri result)
10 - In the Garden of Lies, Part 1

? - A Season of War (Learn to Play fiction)

My first assumption is that they "happen" in the published order, and nothing that I have noticed seems to contradict that notion... except for the Learn to Play booklet fiction. Probably only Katrina, the story lead, can tell 100% sure, but I'm not sure that it makes sense happening after the events of the Lion Clan fiction, as the negotiation would be far more tense, if there was a negotiation at all.

So, where do you think "A Season of War" falls in the timeline? Personally, I'd say it would be the very first story, before Her Father's Daughter, even.

I'm tempted to say:

  1. Her Father's Daughter
  2. A Season of War
  3. The Price of War
  4. Dark Hands of Heaven - The Rising Wave (Simultaneous, so reading order is not important)
  5. Curved Blades - Risen from the Flames (Likewise)
  6. The World, a Stage
  7. Smokeless Fire
  8. A Most Suitable Teacher
  9. In the Garden of Lies (Part 1)

Gotta be the first in reading order, as it seems to set up "Her Father's Daughter," in a way.

Oddly enough, I had a prematurely senior moment reading this, and interpreted as no more than a story interpretation of the matchup described in the L2P, forgetting that this is the one game where the story matters as much as the rules themselves.
