How to Fix the problem

By Deadfool, in X-Wing

The Nu-class is adorable, I'd like it.

Though, while not a prequel film, Rebels is set before ANH, just like R1. The Ghost even appears in R1.

We should really be referring to ships with the diegetic timeline, Galactic Civic War, Clone Wars etc.

I love the clone wars and would love to see all the prequel movie ships in the game, but the 'prequel' ships we have now are all also cited in the galactic Civil War era e.g. ARC-170's in Lost Stars, Sheathipede in Rebels, etc. If we go by the OT movies specifically, we have more 'prequel' (As in before the OT) ships than we do movie ships.

And for all you Ep.1 haters. Naboo N1 starfighters are cited in the GCW era too..

So jumping to conclusions.. N1 STARFIGHTER CONFIRMED.

Also give it up, you're not getting prequel ships.

Yeah! And all you guys who've been asking for the Assault Gunboat for years should give up too; it's not going to happen!

What on earth is the V wing? Is that something that appeared in a cartoon?

And let us not forget that a certain Rebel Princess flew one, making it a strong canidate for inclusion just to get the pilot card.

First appeared in episode 3 and was picked up else where. They even saw service as the standard Imperial fighter before being replaced by TIEs.

Havoc title FAQ to generic-only salvaged astros.

Also now appearing in Battlefornt II.

The first Battlefront 2 as well. Though, there it was kinda shoehorned into being the Bomber.

technically any prequel ship could get the ARC-170 treatment of being refitted and has no generics.
Would also be the only sensible reason to give these ships to the Rebels, when the people that flew them were mostly clones.
Droids obviously scum

My only beef would be what would the imperials get from that era. They have no need to refit old ships so that wouldnt make any sense and they decommissioned all of the functional ones they did have.

It might be enough that V-Wings and ARCs saw Imperial service before TIEs were introduced, but that's not a guarantee. Personally, I would love it if the V-Wing was tri-faction, as it saw imperial service and was salvaged by Rebels and Pirate gangs later on.

Being unable to bump and bomb would be worth it imo.

YES! I would be happy to have just 3 unique pilots of Leia, Shara, and Coruna.

Yeah I agree. That's the whole thing with the Empire. They build something new when the old isn't working. Rebels and Scum salvage and refit old ships because they're cheap or easier to steal. I don't think they would get a retrofitted ship in the game because its not something they would do. Maybe only for some unique characters affiliated with the Empire.

V-wings were shown escorting Palpatine's shuttle. The could very easily be early Imperial.

Rome was not built in a day.

V-wings were used by the Empire (canonically even) in the period right after ROTS up until the TIE and its variants started rolling out, and maybe have been used in surplus for a while there after while numbers were built up. And they even were retrofitted so they no longer required specialized Astromech assistance.

X-WHING!
