So, most important thing:

Goblin has " Tierras Sombrías " trait. That means SHADOWLANDS !

Then, the text that can be read says something like:

...después de que este personaje...

...sobre él 1 de Destino...

...un adversario.

Which translated:

... after this personality...

... on him 1 Fate...

... an adversary.

Not sure, but I'm guessing his ability lets him steal 1 fate from an adversary when he enters play? Seems pretty powerful for 2 fate.

That goblin looks kinda silly. Like a green anime elf. Not a fan of that.

It cuts off at "somb--" so how do we know that's not Sombreros? Maybe his trait is HATLANDS and he's actually just a hatter!

As much as that post is full of win........you missed one crucial detail........he's not wearing a hat! If you're from the Hatlands you best be wearing a hat.

I am totally fine with FFG redoing the Shadowlands as the Hatlands instead.

Clearly his hat was stolen, which is why he has a - for Political...because how can he, a representative of the Hatlands, be taken seriously without his hat? Also he is a sneak, he's sneakily hunting down the hat thief for revenge, and also to get his hat back.

On a more serious note, I've been studying the wording and available text space for the card, I *think* (although exact wording my vary) that the Goblin's ability will be

" Reaction: After this character comes into play - remove 1 Fate from an opponent's character."

Reasonably useful still, but perhaps better balanced than actually stealing a fate from your opponent.

But the Spanish version definitely reads "sobre él 1 de Destino", that's "on him 1 Fate". We aren't sure where that Fate is coming from (there is a lot of room between this bit and the "an adversary" one) or if there are any other clauses we can't see, but we definitely know that the Goblin gets the Fate "on him".

Additionally, the art depicts the goblin stealing something. I initially though it was going to be attachement hate, but him stealing fate also makes sense in that respect.

If that's the case, I think the wording would be different. It should be something like: "Take 1 fate from an opponent's character. Put it on Goblin Sneak." So in spanish would be: "coge 1 de Destino de un personaje de un adversario. Ponlo sobre el Trasgo Furtivo." I mean, as it is now in the spanish version, I can't see a wording of what you said that doesn't sound very, very awkward/weird.

What do you think he's stealing? I've tried to make sense of the art, but I stil can't. At first I thought he was wielding a very weird weapon (a mace or something like that), but now that you said that he's stealing, the more and more I look to it, the more it looks like he's stealing a Cured Ham Leg.

I bow to those with greater (actual) knowledge of Spanish. What little I do know is that sometimes things are written differently than they actually translate, for example the quote for Kitsuki Yaruma would seem to translate "It is not possible (or It is impossible) to send..." whereas the English version says "One cannot send..."

Maybe someone with an actual knowledge of Spanish can offer to fill in the blanks in Spanish to compare with the spacing for the card?

I'm from Spain, so I'd say my knowledge of spanish is pretty good

If I were to fill in the blanks, for me it would be:

"Reacción: Después de que este Personaje entre

en juego, pon sobre él 1 de Destino desde la

reserva de un adversario.

"Reaction: After this character comes into play, put 1 fate on him from an opponent's Fate Pool"

Comparing the text from Kitsuki Yaruma, which starts in the same way, I'd say we have enough room for the wording in spanish.

Awesome, thanks! Actual speakers of a language are by far superior to translation software. Google Translate is okay for literal translations, but somehow it can't quite seem to manage grammar and syntax...which is only made worse by partial phrases as is the case here.

I'm not 100% sure the steal couldn't be: "del personaje de un adversario" instead of "de la reserva de un adversario"; that is, from an opponent's character, instead of an opponent's pool. That would be fun, too. Maybe it's wishful thinking on my part! XD

That would me a "move", not a "place", i think.

l5r.gamepedia.com has the ability being "Reaction: After playing this character, put 1 fate on it from an opponents fate pool" Does this translate to the spanish well?
