Absolutely! Even as a player, I keep one open and laying out flat in front of me. It's a great reminder for all of the modifiers and situation that come up in combat.
If you do purchase it, make sure you get the more recent version from FFG. It doesn't have exposed cardboard around the outside. It's a much better constructed screen and should last you for a long time. I had also heard that the new screen contained the errata that was included on the FFG version of the Rulebook.
At the moment I'm waiting for gifts for geeks to prosess my order, I payed them on monday and they still have not prosessed the order.
