It's only been one no news day, and that was because yesterday was labor day in USA. No reason to panic :D

what is Labor Day? I'm not familiar with it

It's called 1st of May (Vappu) in Finland.

Well, we have Runewars now... so, yay...

What are we, a bunch of junkies needing our plastic fix so bad people can take a day off?

umm, yeah, well, I guess we are.

It is the same day (1st of May) in many European countries

It's been pretty much fully spoiled. We'll probably get something when the boat arrives, which is any time now, but I don't expect anything of any significance until the next wave of villain packs is announced.

I get that it feels like a lot has been spoiled, and I would agree that they probably aren't going to spoil anymore from the actual big box - though there's a decent amount of stuff that's not been revealed in detail from that box - five command cards (an article said there are ten and we've seen five), elite sentry droids, elite riot troopers, and elite clawdites/some clawdite mechanics, and we really don't know much about rubble tokens.

Anyways, on top of that, there's never been a wave where they didn't do a spoil article for each ally/villain pack (maybe wave 1 - regardless I don't think that would be a big enough indicator that they'd change tactics this time - when wave 1 was on its way there was tons of hype and no spoilers would have been needed to pique more interest).

While the original reveal pics for the new packs make it look like there's only three CC's in each - the article itself specifically states for palpatine and ahsoka that isn't the case. See quotes below:

Palpatine:

"And, as befits his status as master of the dark side of the Force and supreme ruler of the galaxy, the Emperor also comes with a full suite of Force-themed Command cards"

Full-suite of force themed command cards - and his picture in the reveal has two cards showing - neither of which is force themed. So let's define "full suite" as two minimum maybe? And then his unique command card? So probably five CC's and maybe Christmas comes early and palpatine has more than 5!

Ahsoka:

"You'll find Ahsoka's Force talents reflected by four of the expansion's five new Command cards, and the fifth takes full advantage of her talents as a Spy ."

That means there "should" be 5 command cards - 2 were revealed partially in original article, haven't seen her unique one, and two more. Will that be 4 generic force user cards? Or 3 and the 4th is her unique? And a 5th being a generic spy card?

Maul:

No great hints in his text but at least one unrevealed card.

On top of all that:

They would likely talk about the campaign agendas some for palpatine and maul.

TL:DR - there's a lot to still reveal and no reason there shouldn't be an article for each ally/villain pack. Sure the previous articles could have errors in their claims but there's some good evidence to go on assuming FFG can count ;)

There should always be some mystery left, and FFG never spoil everything.

Even if they don't reveal anything new, I still enjoy reading the articles because it gives me something to hype over, and i'm an addict and need my fix!

It's definitely been a different article schedule than what we've had in the past.

Used to be we'd get something like two announcements for a wave (box and packs), an article for the new Heroes, an article for Imp and Merc stuff, maybe a developer diary, and an article for each of the packs.

Now, we have (crossovers bolded) two announcements for a wave (box and packs) , an article for campaign, and an article for skirmish. I don't see us getting a hero or merc/Imp article, as that stuff has been covered pretty thoroughly. Maybe a developer diary, but I kinda doubt it, as we're getting close to release now (or, so I hope).

I think we will get an article for each pack, though. Thing is, there's a reason they also have their own announcement article- they're different products than the expansion box. Basically, they'd be neglecting marketing for three of their products this wave, outside of the passing mentions they got that @Masterchiefspiff quoted for us.

They haven't really changed anything in the information given. I find dividing it by campaign /skirmish makes way more sense than Rebel/Imperial, because many players aren't interested in both modes. We might still get a figure pack article, but we know so much about them already there's not anything really left to spoil.

That is true, as far as we can tell.

Not so sure about the figure pack stuff, though. We haven't really had much of an in depth look at the figures- and honestly, their articles often do not give a ton of new info anyway.

For recent figure pack articles, we've seen them getting creative to pad the writing, and they've had some cool ideas. Jabba's Realm packs gave specific examples of strategies to use with the figures, and the Droids wave went beyond by even giving skirmish list suggestions including them.

Well I hope we still get another two articles before release... The figure pack article, and the next wave, which is often revealed before the previous arrives in stores.

Man, the prospects of a new wave are what excite me the most. The last few figure waves (7 and 9) have been a great mix of iconic figures (Jawas, Obi Wan, Greedo) and off the wall picks (Grand Inquisitor, Vader's droids, Hera).

See my above post for just how much there likely is left to spoil for each of those ally/villain figure packs. Potentially the full text of 5-6 or more command cards - probably doled out a couple per figure pack. Sure they might leave a couple cc's unrevealed from the ally/villain packs, but they could reveal all of them and still have plenty from the big box they didn't reveal to keep as a surprise. But everyone wants to know what force user stuff is coming!

Also, they should each get their own spoiler article - so three more. Since every figure pack has had its own spoiler article since Twin Suns for sure. Yeah FFG can do whatever it wants but there's no precedent yet so the odds are good there will be three more articles. Will they be spread out well? That's a different question. But usually they have been at least not on the same day ;)

Also, I think some people are expecting these ally packs to have campaign upgrade items for the Rebels, like in Wave 7. I really hope that's the case, at least.

There's been no indication of that in any of the pictures

Right... because we haven't had spoiler articles for them yet.
